What I've seen doesn't seem to be enough to sway me.  Looks like Platinum's stretched themselves thin working on multiple games at once.

I think it looks fun.  I heard the controls described as clunky but it sounds to me like Warhawk.  Left stick steers, right stick are stunts/maneuvers, and you can independently aim with motion controls.  well it was clunky back then, too.  EVE Valkyrie which lets you aim with your FACE in VR is a more natural solution.

I like that the early boss can be defeated from the outside or inside, and they claim it impacts events later on.  SF64 had stuff like that, where saving Falco's dumb ass let you go through the waterfall.

and yeah, the graphics are bad.  it's a 60fps game that rendering a 720p image on the main screen and a separate, what, 480p or something resolution on the tablet and the wii u is comparable with the ten year old xbox 360.

no multiplayer is a bummer, but i can see why N would avoid spending more money on a wii u game mode that isn't going to sell anything anyway

Why is this outsourced?

Lylat Wars is as good as on rail shooters get already, dunno.what Platinum will add to that.

It dosen't even look fun. When you say Platinum, I expect fast paced crazy action with some cool mechanics. This looks like slow paced shit.

They've outsourced every Star Fox game since Star Fox 64.

ok? They also weren't developed by Platnium. I also wouldn't say N64 or Assualt were slow paced. Assualt is especially pretty over the top.

It's not like we've seen the entire game yet. Who knows.

Star Fox only is a couple steps above Metroid in the Ninpantheon for me so I won't really care if it's shite, but comparing a limited E3 demo to full games isn't really fair.

I played it a bunch, and honestly it was a pretty shitty demo. I expected a whole lot more feature-wise and it was visually simplistic.

The first person aiming on the Wii U GamePad is an interesting gimmick but it's only really useful when there's a cutscene playing and you can continue shooting down dudes using the gyro controls on the Wii U Gamepad. Then again why the fuck do you have a cutscene that doesn't pause the game?

:yeshrug Game looked fun to me from the bits I've seen at the digital event. Graphically? Yeah, it needs work. I'll be cautious though because the last Star Fox game was complete utter garbage. (Star Fox Command)

I mean you started the comparison...

The point was that having Platinum develop your game brings certain expectations. Even if what they could develop wouldn't be line with the other Star Fox games it wouldn't matter, the brand needs something fresh anyway. They could have brought that Platinum over the top crazy action that was in Bayonetta 2 and on display in pretty much every promo. The promo stuff we've seen here is a bit half baked.

Instead of something like MGS Rising where Platinum was given most of the keys, what we've seen so far is something like Korra. Do something with this IP. They may yet make a decent game, but with Rising they made a Metal Gear game with thier unique sensibilities, something you saw even in that game's first trailer. This, this seems like a Nintendo game and I think they would have been better off letting Platinum go crazy. I mean it's Star Fox. Who really cares at this point. Hell, dosen't even look like it's using that Platinum engine.

And honestly Star Fox Assault wasn't a bad idea for a Star Fox. Game. Big and Loud Space Opera. It just had to stuff the game with other crap.

This game is AWFUL with gyro controls. HOoooooly shit. I felt bad for the guy because he kept wanting me to so I used it for a split second. Fuuuck that.

Also he got offended when he told me to do a barrel roll and I said that's not your line.

Fuck him, he gave some bitch a arwing pin from the other booth cause she was flashing her vag and he was thirsty as fuck.

I have this game pre-ordered. Don't disappoint me, Platinum.

You can play with the protroller, right? Don't need to use touchpad/waggle/bullshit controls?
