Worked a 15 hour shift where I pretty much did nothing but browse imgur and clickhole. Got to skip out of work to watch the fireworks show going off directly overhead too, got a nice extra half hour break out of it.

was in Brooklyn on Saturday the gf and i went to sunset park to see the fireworks but i guess the city moved the barge up river so we could barely see them. we ended up being able to see the NJ fireworks much better.

Friday - I tore down my pool that the winter destroyed. Good bye money pit!

Saturday - Our plans to go to the Poconos got rained out. So we went to the farmer's market in Ithaca and bounced around a bit. Bought some fireworks and did a show for the kids at home.

Sunday - Got some groceries. Took some cans back for deposit. Grilled some potatoes and filet.

How are the Poconos? Have you been there before?

We always drive by them on our way to Cape Cod every year and think about spending a day there on the way back.

We did that all the time during summers when I was growing up. Roman candles, and with bottle rockets we'd take a bit of pvc pipe, stop it up with dirt at one end, and then dump a lit bottle rocket down the tube and use it as a rocket launcher to try and kill the other neighborhood kids. Good times! Only one person ever got hit in the face.

We don't stay at a resort. We have friends that own a place on Lake Wallenpaupack so we stay there. My father in law says Mt. Airy lodge is very nice. There is also another place around there that has an indoor water park that is open all year. I can't remember the name though.

My favorite part of this is that the author assumes the audience is so dumb that they can't figure out what the kid represents so he has to put "next generation" to get the point across.  A good comic.
