The first year I went, Quake Wars: Enemy Territory beta was playable.

Yeah, I was going to say that ones nicely themed. Red rain-drains/poles and white building/PC.

I'm surprised the BYOC area is still semi-large. Didn't they drop a hotel because QuakeCon has been bleeding registers/attenders since Carmack left iD?

It's been at the Anatole every year since 2005, except for 2009. Last year [the first year without Carmack] was down slightly in attendance, but still had more people than most years. It's been pretty packed this year, too.

During the Finals Party it was announced that over 11,500 attended Quakecon and over 3,300 computers were hooked up in the BYOC. Those are both really good numbers.
