I watched the Giantbomb Quick Look and thought it was a goof but after watching the vid, I wanted to play the game. And god damn it if the game isn't good.
It's as simple as you can get. It's an FMV murder mystery game. It's almost one of those DVD games. And the gameplay is just getting statements and matching contradicting statements to trigger interrogation cutscenes. But the story is goofy fun. The acting is fun and over the top for some of the characters. Not in a tex murphy way but in a downton abbey kind of way.
5 dollars is the perfect price as its short (beat in maybe 3-6 hours depending on how fast you solve the puzzles) but even at $10 I had way more fun with this than stuff like the Stanley Parable. This is still a game and I can enjoy it as a game instead of some meta thing. I liked it and not in some meta ironic I like the room kind of way. I legit thought it was entertaining. I hope they get to make sequels.
