I saw a sincere "Obummer" bumper sticker
« on: July 31, 2015, 01:33:25 PM »
It was festooned on a late model American made pickup along with a faded NRA sticker and one for the United States Marine Corps. Very predictable stuff.

But, did I cut off THE Marine Todd when I cut this driver off? :o

national recovery act stickers should be a thing.  I'd don the blue eagle.

The only "national recovery act" I recognize is Vladimir Lenin's New Economic Policy.

I live in the Southland, studyguy.

For years I thought '13.1' was some Bible verse.

No offense to anyone here, but if you have a bumper sticker I think you're a lesser human being.

I hate all bumper stickers, even if I agree with the message. The last thing I need is to know more about the person in the car in front of me and or be proselytized at while I'm just trying to drive somewhere.

The parody ones are funny, but they have a short shelf life.

what's 13.1?

It's for runners to indicate how many miles they ran in one event. I assume the events hand them out as part of their "goody bag" for participating.

Back in the 90's we would see all these vehicles with 'No Fear' stickers on the back window. Being the clever contrarians we thought we were, I let a buddy talk me into making it say FEAR ON. :snoop

Nobody ever asked about it which was a good thing because I didn't have any good reason to give them.  :comeon :ufup

First assumption with this kind of shit is that the dude is either still in high school or a nutjob. Maybe both.

People who do that, have they decided they will keep that car forever?

Usually I see that kind of crazy bumper sticker job on old station wagons.

I see cars like this all the time in Ithaca, NY. Except they are all Priuses.

I pay a premium to live where I live and give up cherished freedoms like being able to work in a union shop without joining or paying the union, or not being able to pollute on a massive scale as well, frankly I expect this kind of dogshit to stay where it belongs: the South and Kern County.

Today I saw a "Freedom isn't Free" one on a minivan plastered with American war machine fetishism.

Look Cletus and / or Becky Sue, neither are Fritos. It's called voluntary exchange, read Atlas Shrugged.

And the only "troops" I support are the men, women, and non-gender binary members of the reserve army of labor.

It's because liberals know we will likely never be able to afford another car unless our flimsy maintenance regiment (read: fate) eventually forces us to buy one. Probably used. And in worse shape.

Bumper stickers are so awful. The only kind I'd ever allow on a vehicle I own is the kind that brags about your kids doing shit and I ain't got no kids (yet :brazilcry)

Max the other day I saw a Quattroporte with a Hello Kitty sticker on the fuel door cover down here. This place is hell and you cannot refine it. :stahp

Saw an "Arizona: Protecting The Border When The Feds Won't" bumper sticker.  In Maryland.  On a car with Maryland tags.  Accompanied by a couple of Carson '16 stickers.

I saw a billboard last week that was like

Marriage = 1 Man + 1 Women
"I really need your help with this one, guys!"
~God

And I was like "Live in Oklahoma, brehs  ::) " but then a few miles later I saw one that said

"No more bombs, no more wars. Tell Congress we don't want war with Iran"

And I was like  :obama

There's a rusty old pickup that's always parked in front of the office next door that is covered in bumper stickers for Jefferson Airplane (trans love airways, hippy on board, etc) and today, I saw a brand new pickup in its spot with all those bumper stickers on it.

That's dedication certainly.
