Ketchup is fine as long as it's not the only thing on the dog. Ketchup by itself though is kidsville. Sad, but true.

I think it's okay, I normally add all the toppings I have at hand but the only reason to add anything is because the bread and meat alone will be too dry.

If I'm making the hot dog, I usually don't eat it with bread because wtf else can you use those buns for?

I used to know brand fractions of dog to bun when I didn't eat healthy food like Taco Bell's fresco offerings. It's really not #struggle and it fills the late capitalist hole in your soul when you get the ratios just right and end up with zero dogs and buns.

No if it's from 7-11or whatever I eat the bun because I don't like wasting any food. But I just don't feel like there's anything sacred about combining this cheap source of meat with a specific type of bread that happens to be fairly bland, the only good thing about hot dog buns is that they fit hot dogs, no one says how good they are at other things.
