Yeah, I like it, and it's good gameplay, but it also feels weirdly unbalanced and lacking in motivation/goal management.

Yeah the loot and upgrading was pretty garb, but I had a fun time playing the game for 30 hrs or so. I'll probably wait until "destiny 2" or whatever and see how they integrate the old content before jumping back in.

Maybe I'll have a ps4 by then

If its anything like past expacs there'll be a patch but you won't be able to play the content unless you have the DLC. I don't know exactly how it's gonna work now since leveling will be traditional leveling again and not tied to gear though but I'm gonna go out on a limb and assume you can't hit 40 without Taken King content.

Saw the big patch for Destiny start downloading last night. I assume my Vanilla version will be getting an overhaul - does TTK add anything to the early game or is it all later content? (I wouldn't mind playing through my original copy and seeing how the changes feel)

Yeah, pubbing this is gonna be brutal. The jump section of vault is still a great time to take a break and make a sandwhich the way some people flub it. Tomb ships are going to obliterate some friendships. Not to mention these strict timing + solid execution boss fights

It was always good to play, there just wasn't much content and replaying it was unrewarding since you wouldn't level up and you'd rarely get new loot. And if you did want to get into it you had to work with crappy quest sequencing and tons of different currencies.

Now there's twice the content, fewer currencies, logical story progress, and you get tons of levels and loot left and right.

I played 8 hours of Destiny postgame and used the same gun the whole time. In the last 3 hours of play I have changed my main gun 3 times.

Day 1 of LFG:

- Had one guy who "wasnt aware" this was the last boss. We kept him anyway (bad idea).
- Had one guy who "had to be completely honest" and never did the fight before (bad idea).
- Had one guy who randomly joined in off someones friendlist well below threshold (bad idea).
- Had people using hand cannons (bad idea).

Eventually I found a group that was ACTUALLY MAKING PROGRESS. We had mechanics down, everything was good, but we kept dying to the fucking Echo of Oryx part. That shit is straight Iron Banner. Teleporting all around like a red bar god.
