My bet is that they're going to put in high density trash can themed housing with artisanal cheese shops on the ground level and call it "The Oscar"

Pretty fucked up situation. When I initially read the move to HBO I thought it was an Onion article title, but it's real.

Meh, its a 9 month delay before they air on PBS and now they can get double the amount of episodes per year.  That's pretty good for everyone.

It's a 9 month delay? So it still airs on PBS? Ok, I'm fine with that

PBS doesn't lose the show, but it looks bad that they're unwilling/unable to continue to fund it.

geez, its almost like this whole 'indiscriminately slash the govt and arts funding especially' mentality of a certain political party could have some unforeseen (or easily seen) consequences.

I thought I read that double the episodes is just from them moving from an hour episode format to a half hour episode format

We should gentrify The Bore. I want threads on food trucks, 19th century handcrafting tips and exotic coffee.
