There's nothing wrong with a studio not wanting Fisher and Hamil to look like whales on camera; there's a long history of studios not wanting whales for specific roles (see: Brando in Apocalypse Now). They have a certain look in mind, and that doesn't equal them wanting Fisher to be sexy. Just don't be sloppy and look professional.

Hamil looks pretty damn good now, and Fisher looks good too.

Nope. That's what people like to chalk FFVII to be, but it isn't. Cloud is more bitchy or self serving than emo, I never imagined he looked sad or mopey. And most people pin all the "emo" shit on Cloud, the rest of the cast and world itself wasn't super serious grimdark escapades. 

In the remake, look at his face. it looks like hes about to cry at any moment.

The trailer shows the bombing mission and shortly after the bombing mission. What are you expecting? In FFVII, you blow up a reactor and kill innocent people. This is pretty consistent with the tone of the original up to that point. If you're expecting a game in 2015 to have a lighthearted tone during a terrorist bombing mission in which you take part of, you have to be a very special kind of stupid.

Then why is everyone but Cloud not acting like and looking like a sad baby? Being an asshole is way different than being a mopey, ho hum yesman. He's on the latter side right now a lot more than the former. I never viewed Cloud as someone that doesn't give a fuck, even at the beginning of the game. To me he was determined to do something, anything, but he was conflicted with what he actually wants to do in life.

I expected no better. It has been absolutely amusing to see the Sony zealots try to keep up the faith in regards to VR. Sony have gone all in with it and their is no backing out now. The price reveal for it is going to be quite a day on Gaf. I see Sony is still shook to even hint at a price which tells me it's going to be hella expensive, especially for the gaming side cheapskates.

I do actually like the idea of VR and the stuff I've tried on OR etc has been fun, but console wise the Sony VR games look very basic, and we know Sony will probably be charging full price for these games. In all of this I'm shocked that MS actually decided to not fall into the VR trap this time around and have given it very light support.

VR isn't really for this gen as neither console has the power to really give things that 'wow' factor that is needed to make converts of the casual gamer.

Anyone getting into this is going to be paying silly prices from the off You would have thought most people involved in this would get the expected prices out of the way first.

Another problem is too many gamers like new flashy tech and expect cheap prices. Holograms are a bit better from a usability standpoint but not by much. From how they've shown, it I think even MS knows Hololens at least in this current iteration is not for prime time gaming, strategy games and 3D Minecraft I could see the appeal, but anything more fast paced it would be a hot mess.

I'm expecting better solutions next gen, so lets say 2-3 years away.
