Um I think the minute to minute gameplay of MGSV is fine. The gunplay and stealth are solid.

But you're pretty wrong if you don't think there's extreme backlash against the mission design, game structure, and gameplay in general. There's enough gameplay backlash against the gameplay already.

Titanfall is a great example of desperation. The concept and look of the game were solid. The problem was that it was rushed out in order to make the XB1's launch window. So the graphics were bleh and the lack of single player turned people off. If they had simply waited until that holiday season it might have been a legit hit.

Sad thing is if Fallout 4 gets anything less than 9/10 or 10/10 as review scores there will be people calling for blood. Which is shocking considering how meh Fallout 3 was.

Titanfall seems like a good game, but at this point I'm not into running around like a chicken with its head cut off looking for kills type FPS. I want FPS with at least a casual objective focus above just a slayer mode. A lack of a single player also killed my interest. I still like single player modes and they created this cool looking world all for naught.

EA probably had greater success on Plants Vs Zombies Garden Warfare since they sold it at a reduced price at launch as an xbox exclusive, then updated over time with more platforms. Titanfall might have benefited from that instead of shoving it out at $60.

Then Nintendo completely stole it's update model for Splatoon and Ninthings pretended Nintendo was revolutionary for it while EA was doing it a year before

It's a fucked up sentiment that's become too common.

After last week's school shooting I spent some time reading /r9k/ since the shooter was apparently posting there. I was genuinely disturbed by some of the shit I read. Not even ~7 years of lurking on /b/ bothered me as much as a few hours spent on r9k. It's the purest, most distilled and concentrated form of whatever it is that's been looming over GAF for the past couple of years.
