I'm now certain beyond a shadow of a doubt that no one on there even likes to play video games.

all that bitching about graphics  :comeon

if it were up to me games would still look like they did back in the PS2 days.
To be honest, I absolutely love how FO4 looks compared to 3. The art direction makes a better impression on me.
And they finally figured out how to model faces.

That fallout thread.
It's like you can smell hear the creaking of desktop chairs round the world as dudes masturbate furiously against eachother. One side ready to nut all over anything and everything Bethesda gives then and the other nutting all over the other dudes in an attempt to shitpost the hardest.

In the end it's just a big sweaty, angry pile of nerds.

Reddit is just as bad if not worse. Some dude talking about how he wants to visit Boston to see how Fallout 4's vision of the city compares to the real thing.

Well to be fair, it really does look shit. Not sure why people are surprised though, this is bethesda so of course it will look like shit, be a buggy mess and not be very fun to play.

I will pirate it though just because I enjoy character creators too much.  :doge

It's telling the best Beth Softworks Engine graphic game isn't even a Beth Softwork game.  :doge Catherine is still the best art-style on a Beth Engine.

Wait... Catherine was made on a Bethesda engine? That's certainly unexpected...

Yeah I haven't, I just meant after like a day or two of not showering, not going out of your way to avoid showers for days (weeks?) at a time, eating terrible things, never drinking water and generally having cold sweats from vgs.

My girlfriend and I have been dating for seven months. She asked me out and it threw me for a loop. The first few months were amazing until recently when the "honeymoon" phase of a new relationship ends and reality sets in. We've had fun, going out on dates and spending time together nearly every weekend. I felt absolutely ecstatic to see her and go out with her. I never thought of wanting sex with her, I just loved passionately kissing her and it felt amazing.

I tend to spend the night at her place when we go out, sleeping next to her in clothes, and she was always comfortable with me touching her breasts over her clothes when we started going out after two months. Touching over the clothes felt great, but then I wanted to feel more...under the clothes. She and I recently we admitted that we really wanted to have sex with each other. We want to wait until marriage, so we settled for humping. She wanted me for six weeks and me probably a bit longer.

I did some humping with my girlfriend for the first time and it felt amazing afterwards; like it all felt right. The second time we did it, it was great too, but afterwords, I felt empty, and unfulfilled like crap; like something didn't feel right; it felt meaningless. Undesired, repressed thoughts came up that I had just used her, that I only wanted her for sex, that I didn't love her as much as she loved me, and that I wanted to immediately leave and create some alone time because I didn't feel any connection after we did humping for the second time; I got really worried that I didn't love her enough, or that she was too young for me because she doesn't have independence or good social skills like I do. (I'm 29 and she is 19.) I even felt scared of staying committed to her.

But she went through with it and wanted it, she said she felt an emotional connection the second time, but I felt nothing that time. I'm relooking at the situation and wanting to do more things that show love instead of lusting after her.

Is this normal to feel empty and unfilled at times? Do I have a problem with loving my girlfriend? Am I just addicted to sex and lust? Are these just symptoms of anxiety? Am I always supposed to feel butterflies towards my girlfriend?

Or is it just science at work with dopamine levels decreasing?

Well, technically not a Beth engine. But Oblivion used it and outside of Civ Rev (I didn't even KNOW that used Gamebryo) it's noted as a "Beth Engine" otherwise: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gamebryo

When I was a teenager I helped a manager open one morning. She started making out with me in the walk-in and moments later we discovered we were trapped. Was in there for two hours until the regular day shift arrived. The first thing the guy said when he opened the door and discovered us was something like "you guys have something red smeared all over your faces". It was her lipstick. We basically huddled together for warmth. Killed any aspirations for greater romantic possibilities. Though I did end up drilling her little sister in college.

Cool story bro ?

I'm not even sure they went hogwild with the bullshots or that the reveal was deceiving, so what's the problem again ? The expectations for graphical fidelity are really a bit out of touch, methinks.

Try telling that to my grandparents.

look at this pleb ass list

www.neogaf.com/forum/showthread.php?t=1131443
What's wrong with it? Seems like a good list imo

EDIT: Zombie Ate My Neighbors ranked so low tho. That game was the shit.

it's actually not too bad, but smh @ SOR2 and Gunstar in the top 2 spots.  I just think SOR2 is overrated by people who haven't played genesis in 20 years.  and Alien Soldier > Gunstar.

I'm not a huge fan of the beat-em-up genre but SOR2 is still probably the pinnacle. The soundtrack alone is why I put it on my top 5 when I did that thread. And Alien Soldier is fantastic, but it didn't get a US release, hindering its popularity. I didn't think the Genesis list was too bad, apart from too-high scores for Altered Beast and Comix Zone, and too-low scores for the Thunder Force series.

There are tons of better beat em ups than SOR2.  For starters, Bare Knuckle 3 is pretty great before it got stupid balance changes for the NA version.  There are tons of arcade beat em ups I'd take any day.  The capcom games (Aliens Vs. Predator, The Punisher, D+D games) and Sengoku 3 off the top of my head.  There are tons of hidden gems in the genre as well.  Stuff that didn't come out in the U.S.

SOR2 was early.  Later beat em ups got more complex combo systems and level design.

Nah, son. I mean you're free to your opinion, but I can't agree with it. Yeah, later games came out with combo systems. But do you really need them? Bare Knuckle 2/SoR2 was simplicity perfected: "A bad guy stole your friend. Are you a bad enough dude(tte) to rescue your friend?" Smash A until the enemy dies. GO GO GO.

That elevator up to Mr. X. Then the friendship twist. :doge

I talked about this I feel like a bit ago but in reference to something else. Sure you can approach things with rational thinking and logic and 1+1=2 but there are some things, like relationships, that are frankly all about emotions and empathy. Assuming your way is best, especially a way that's completely detached with the cherry of "more financially stable" on top coming from your lips, speaks far more to a problem with you than any sort of "SUPERIOR LOGIC BEEP BOOP."

Office is pretty much the only good Microsoft product anymore but it creams everything else. Sheets makes DOS 1-2-3 look cutting edge.

Sheets is good enough for me. :doge

It's also free and available on every platform under the sun with an easy way to solicit feedback and comments. :jawalrus

Googles productivity apps are dookie compared to office, even their iOS stuff. It's weird how nobody can make a decent alternative.

I could say it's a gamer thing but it's a person thing, but it definitely happens more on gaming forums where someone has to assert their choice is best in order to feel secure about the choices they've made.

If you're truly content with your relationship status you're not on forums trying to rationalize why it's superior to other people's choices in life, which goes both ways. I see a ton of people whom I know aren't too happy with their hubby/wife/SO get all defensive in threads like that too.

I don't even bother with those threads since it's all fake shit to me meant more to troll people who are easily convinced of anything.

I don't suppose any of you have had relationships where the other person seperates you from your money in one way or another?

No. And if they did it'd be par for the course of sharing finances with another person that I trust at that time. If they break that trust, oh well, that's life.
