There has been a much bigger emphasis on T&A this time around for Street Fighter 5 versus SF4. Outfits are one thing, animations and camera zooms and emphasis is another. SF4 had almost none of that.

Yeah SFV definitely has a bigger focus on that kind of thing from what I can tell. Looking forward to the game either way.

Laura's alt outfit is super meh though.

It's more of a footnote than anything anyway. I haven't followed SFV (or IV, but I kinda played it however) enough to make a qualified judgement over any major change on this issue, beyond my opinion on the costume itself.

In SFV you see ass cheeks, camel toes, underboobs, nipple prints. Various camera angles, bouncing boobs. This is pretty wildly different than SF2 Cammy. You're thinking of just the design. By itself, the design of Laura's alt is just bad. But combined with everything else? There's more to it that makes it ridic and pushes it face first into embarrassing territory.

It's not about the sanctity of the pixels, because of course it isn't. People just don't want to look like they're watching softcore porn when they're playing a video game. Capcom is obviously leaning full-on into the fanservice this time around. So much so they walked back some of it (Mika's buttslap animation).
At least the main focus is still on being a fighting game. There are some real sports like Beach Volleyball that seem to be more about titillation than they are about athleticism.
