the 64 controller is an ass controller though. the analog stick was necessary to play its platformers, but the stick itself was shit. hell the one genre that the controller looked to be made for didnt exist for it. while the gamecube controller was odd in many ways, its build was so much better than its predecessor

The Dreamcast controller has that crown, among the consoles that mattered (well..). It's uncomfortable, the stick is slippery, the d-pad sucks, the VMU idea is pointless and gave them the idea to run the cable out the bottom; it's just all around shit.

i wanted to like the dreamcast controller, i really did, but i dont know how far that thing got with testers, because that damn thing was a finger shredder. and the vmu, while novel became a loud annoyance once the battery died on it.

If the Dreamcast continued living, there would've definitely been a new controller released and new memory cards or a hard drive add on. Playing a ripped copy of Half Life 1 on the Dreamcast was hell on earth. Any game needing two analog sticks wouldn't have worked if the Dreamcast survived.

Xbox and Xbox 360 controllers are the best when it comes to design. Xbone controller has fucked bumpers.

Other than the bumpers, the original XBONE controller had the best feel of any controller I used. Shame they changed the driver framework, so using it on PC is a pain in the ass.
