But the better question is: How many folks are gonna be there? :doge :doge :doge I said it when it broke Evo records: How many of those entrants will follow-through? KoF 13 had people register and then like hardly anyone showed up. :lol

Nacho basically answered, but if you troll Capcom/Ono over there you'll generally get banned.

Honestly I've moved into the "outrage culture exists but is severely overblown" camp. I rarely get upset about that shit anymore, having realized most people couldn't care less about Tumblr. And having 3,000 retweets of your insular, intellectual cowardice doesn't suggest some massive consensus in the grand scheme of things either.

Most people don't walk around labeling things problematic or demanding books be banned due to trigger warning content. Honestly my only gripe is that universities don't put their foot down on some of this shit.

I generally agree with this sentiment but then I see shit like this: https://media2.8ch.net/pol/src/1461711729336.webm

This is inexcusable shit, even for manchildren/womanchildren in universities.

As delusional as people have called me prior for saying this, the Market failed Wii U. It's still incomprehensible in my mind that since the GCN in the years of Wii, they not only failed to boost up their dedicated buyer numbers, but they got SLASHED. It's almost incomprehensible, even with a great first year 1st party lineup...

Lego City

Nintendoland

Wii Fit U

Wind Waker HD

Game & Wario

Wii Sports Club

Wii Party U

Mario U

Luigi U

Pikmin 3

NES Remix

Mario 3D World

Mario & Sonic at the Sochi 2014 Olympic Winter Games

Pokémon Rumble U

I mean, sweet Jesus, that was just Nintendo the first year. Lots of franchises that did well last gen, some of them even better...

THREE Main Mario titles. What the fuck happened? What the fuck happened. It's so... so unsettling, it's wrong, it's like something that... is wrong.

Don't misunderstand em posting this, I know the state of the industry and Nintendo, but when you look at it that way... it's like impossible to understand.

Market failed to understand the genius of Nintendoland and NES remix confirmed.

It's like

Sure. Hype Zelda, make it a big deal, if it is a great game, it should be something everyone will want to play anyways. Maybe they have something extra special here.

NX skipping E3 creates a spoiler effect for PS 4.5 and slim models of next gen consoles, this is how it works: June E3, PS 4.5 is shown off, Morphus is shown off, Microsoft shows off it's hype projects, they are talked about for a couple months, PS 4.5 is set to launch in October (my guess) and everyone is getting crazy that Nintendo still hasn't released news of NX, so there is a lot of hype when Nintendo announces their own event in September (what many just assume is Space World 2016)

NX Specs are "good" something that competes with current gen hardware, but what really is exciting is all the games that Nintendo is announcing for NX at this Space World event, stuff coming before E3 2017, or directly in the tiny launch window, probably a new Mario Kart, Pikmin 4, Smash 4 NX (maybe new characters/levels), some unannounced projects (Animal Crossing NX), Luigi's Mansion 3 possibly shown off here. This launch avoids competition from a PS 4.5 launch and morphus.

I believe that the Handheld and Console are both part of the same platform, so both devices will launch next March, you are looking at 5 million+ in March/April, going into E3 with insane hype as they show off the next Xenoblade, Mario NX, Metroid, ect. I assume Wii U ports of Splatoon and Mario Maker fill in the summer and lead into the holidays with Mario NX and Retro's game.

Remember 3DS sold 15 million units in it's first year on the market with a pretty lack luster start and a high price. Wii U also did about 4 million in it's first 11 months on the market, so NX should actually have a pretty strong first year. Basically all the hype has shifted 4 months, rather than knowing this stuff at E3 with a holiday launch, we will know this stuff at the end of summer with an end of winter launch.

That's not true! Mother 3 might come out on the Wii U's Virtual Console! :nintendo

Zelda Wii U has been their supposed big holiday game for the last 2 years, and it's not coming out until next year  :mindblown

Maybe they saw how good the sales were for TP HD in March (#3 NPD for a 10-year old up-res) and said, "Fuck it, why not?"

Some people are speculating something went wrong with the NX. I think it's just Nintendo's usual incompetence.

Hoping the new CEO didn't fuck it over tbh.

Only in the false economy of the console market as defined by Sony and Microsoft, who have lost something like 10 billion between them distorting the true market with an arms race over the last decade.

Man, that 'Social Justice Activists Are Kinda Cunts' thread was good for a laugh. For four pages everyone railed at Valhelm for his comment about the black community, when the guy never mentioned the word black in the first place. Just twat after twat jumping in there, with nobody around to point out they were shadow-boxing. Hilarious.

I wonder if the Outrage Brigade and people like her will ever recognize the valuable role they played in the rise of Trump as a political force.
I'd say that's as likely as the European Left realising that they are responsible for the current rise of the European Right. Not going to happen.

Why did i get the feeling her idea of "hate speech" was actually someone stating fact or statistics.

Yeah, that's why I don't buy the whole "Ok ok, so Outrage culture DOES exist, but it's so small it doesn't matter." That might statistically be true, but the fact that they occupy so much of the national conversation gives way to the rise of an equally vocal opposition and typically on the right when someone goes far right people come out of the wood work in spades to support them. Far left? Everyone's like "that person's crazy".

Also, Nintendo's completely on fire. :cody

Jesus fuck at Nintendo.

They transition from SNES to N64 was an absolute failure (remember 3 launch games)
The transition from N64 to GCN was an absolute failure (N64 got 5 games in 2001)
The transition from GCN to Wii was an absolute failure (last 2 years of GCN were bad)
The transition from Wii to Wii U was an absolute failure (Nintendo forgot to support the worlds most popular console)

And now this.

HOW IS THIS POSSIBLE.

HOW HOW HOW

Those fuckers better launch more Splatoon maps if they want to stay relevant
:O
