First I am not telling everybody to stop drinking alcohol or how bad is is for you. Everybody must decide that for him or herself. Same thing goes with smoking. I myself for example eat meet and I am getting very annoyed by my vegan or vegetarian colleagues at work, who tell me whole time, that this is so bad for me, the environment, the animals. So not doing that to anybody.But unlike smoking, somehow it is still very strange, if you don't drink alcohol during events or at a bar or hanging around with friends. I usually drink water, a soft drink or orange juice at a party and don't make a big fuss about it. But every time I almost have to justify me decision, why I do not drink alcohol. And no, it's not because of my religion. I just don't like it.But there is always some kind of pressure; hey why don't you take a beer, get some whine and so on. It is so strange, only three persons at my working place don't drink alcohol. One women because of her religion, one women because she is pregnant and me. I was at events there was vegan, vegetarian and regular food, to not exclude somebody, but you could only choose either wine, beer or water.It is so strange, that this is still a thing. And I don't even want to start, how alcohol still is a drug and how many people are addicted. Is this just a European thing and do others also feel like this?

It's literally Dragon Quest, which while I find terrible, is beloved by all.

I feel if Earthbound/Mother series was a commonly available game physically, or released on something like the PS1, it would be viewed as a good game and nothing else. If you look at the JRPG library for the SNES and later the PS1, Earthbound pales in comparison to a ton of stuff. The combat system in Earthbound is mediocre at best. Nintendo not doing any rereleases or making it available digitally for a long ass time probably helped keep the fanaticism alive. There weren't many physical copies of Chrono Trigger for SNES, and Square was smart enough to rerelease it alongside a Final Fantasy game on PS1.
