I don't know what it would take for the NX to be a success. It seems like the Nintendo brand has become tainted over the last few years and people don't take them serious. They're like the windows phone of game consoles.

Nintendo either needs to create a niche console that generates enough revenue or profit to please its shareholders, or somehow catch lightning in a bottle once again like they did with the Wii. The Gamecube flopping was the nail in the "powerful Nintendo console" coffin.

Nintendo would probably be one of the safest third party studios financially if they went that route. If the NX doesn't cause people to blow their loads, it would be safer and smarter to call it quits in the console business.

Stayed till 19h30 pm at the office for this. Didn't find the right addresses yet, nor the right shaders in memory to try and forcefully modify or add rendering instructions.

Dumped some compiled shaders and  textures off the PS4's but didn't have time to go through all of it (and it's a lot of data to go through too)..
The remote memory scanner is slow as hell, but I think I've found what looks like a model format.
It's gonna take some time to try and reverse engineer it, I'm not even sure what I'm looking at tbh.

Also there's the legal aspect. Using office tools, with a static IP and your name on it, I can say I'm not gonna risk anything to discover if there's more to this demo or not (this means no file sharing, I'll have to think about screenshots ).

It was still pretty rough on release, but they've punched it up a lot since then. It's definitely worth checking out, especially since you can get it pretty cheap now during sales.
