My ex (from near Rochester) thought I, and everyone else on there were super rich and everything looked like the Hamptons.

My Buffalo friends told me whenever they were visiting outside the state, people were convinced they lived right near NYC (it's about 400 miles away).

My mom didn't know that Brooklyn and Queens were on Long Island even after living here all her life.

It seems a lot of Americans have very little idea about geography... But then again I've always been a bit obsessed with maps growing up...

Yes. I can't explain it other than to say something felt different. The colours popped, the sound and music was on point and extremely atmospheric, the menu was complex and slick, and the menu sounds where 'chunky' and satisfying. That blue grass looked thick as hell too. I saw two new icons I hadn't seen before which were red, but like I said I didn't want to scrutinise them. It was enough to know there are things in the game we haven't seen yet.

The bigger farms are doing just fine. The subsidies do help the smaller farmers, but they are much less efficient. It's paying them to do a worse job. The only reason I've seen why people want the small farmers to stick around is nostalgia for what the farming industry used to be like, which is a pretty bad reason. Subsidies aren't necessary still.

That thread seems to be missing (other than the whole Sandwich thing which is arguably worse) that the Brexit vote isn't binding because Parliament can't be bound by a referendum or anything else in the UK. And doubly missing that one of the things that helped get Cameron elected in the first place was that he promised to let there be a referendum so the British public could be clearer in their view vs. Parliament just deciding like in other nations.

You see, I went around to Dennis' house last night to play some games - hardcore PC games, of course - and to my amazement he only had 1 monitor.

A standard keyboard - no pro gaming controls.

And, worst of all, an AMD graphics card.

While Dennis may act like a PC elitist who only appreciates the best, I'm afraid that's merely a character. The real truth is a lot darker. He's not part of the PC Master Race, merely a standard PC gamer.

The PS1 and PS4 were big systems among gamers, but their influence didn't really extend beyond gamers. The PS2 was fairly big outside of the gaming circle, but that was largely just because it was one of the cheapest DVD players at the time; it wasn't something that got people outside of gaming super excited, something that had morning talk shows talking about it and the news doing big reports on it.
