Portland recs? Portland recs.

Toro Bravo, Pok Pok, Lardo, Grain and Gristle for food.

And then the important stuff. Breakside, Upright, The Commons, Ex Novo, Apex, Belmont Station, Horsebrass.

It's August. You might want to wait until next spring. Whatever you do, don't take the Hastings Cutoff and get stuck in the Sierra Nevadas for the winter.

There's a bar you can go to across from Pok Pok that gets catered by them if the place is too busy.

Area as in Portland? Yeah. Just the selection of food there is pretty dope. People are chill. Transit is easy to use and goes in many directions.

What about Oregon in general? I've never been there, been to Washington a bit. Just kinda thinking about some stuff.

I dunno about Oregon in general, only been to Corvalis for a couple of hours, I doubt the rest of it is like the metro area.

Now is the time, man! Also my other half has no idea what you're talking about re: Hastings/Sierra. I'm guessing some Trail reference. :lol

Bend is awesome, basically my home away from home. Mountains, rivers, beer, etc. Hood River is great, Corvallis is decent but has some awesome breweries, Eugene is a big hippie college town, Tillamook smells like cow farts but has cheese and de Garde. The entire Oregon coast is gorgeous and Astoria is cool. Baker City is in the middle of nowhere but has a nice vibe and another amazing brewery (Barley Browns).

The further you get away from colleges and dense population areas the more conservative it gets, just like Washington. Eastern Oregon has more in common with Idaho.

We nearly moved to the Seattle area but logistics and some other things made OR an easier thing to do. May jump a bit north in the future, who knows. Bro in law lives in Eugene or did last I knew.
