OMG OMG OMG Its Suikoden return to form! Its like a pure sexy mix of Suiko II and III. Its making a me a hot and bothered :hyper

I'm only like 8 Hours in and I'm just running around grinding and building up them monies to upgrade my weapon levels for "The Prince" and Lyon

I just had my first SPRG'ish Suiko battle of the game...I loved it!. The death of Feris and the Queen was strangely powerful, I didn't think I would care as much even though you could see it coming from far away...very heartbreaking. I think it was because of the hug Arshtat gave to her son that set me up...fucken Suiko writers manipulating my heart like that. Crash total

I love EVERY SINGLE CHARACTER I've ran into so far. They're all full of life and character. The humor in this game is also genuinely funny (well, I think it is), I think thats a result to the great tranlation cause the dialog doesn't feel like a bablefish'ed tranlation. Great start so far  :heartbeat

yeah

basically suikoden V's characterization doesn't get enough credit. The game has over 100 characters and manages to make almost every one relevent to the plot and it actually uses it's characters instead of having them sit around as dead weight.

the translation is amazing

the gameplay while simplistic is good enough

the recruitment drive in SV is the best yet because its' actually hard to recruit folks

the game has a huge world map and tons of sidequests

the game is long as shit but none of it feels padded

I love the characters but the story is pretty meh half way, but unlike other suikoden's the villians suck.

Still...2nd best Suiko.

That Tri-Fire (or whatever its called) system in Suiko 3 made me want to kill lots and lots of people with a rusty machete. UGH I hated it so much.

I was utterly flabbergasted to find out that they could drop the series even lower when I played Suiko IV

Its name strikes fear into my heart. The game had a cool Skill system though

Oh man, I love running into rare monsters in Suikoden games. When you do, your 100% assured to get some rare item as a drop :hyper . I just ran into this fuck huge Furball...I was like "lol wtf hahahha" and killed it. Every RPG needs to do this in some shape or form. Like every RPG needs a New Game+ function.
