I feel bad for Josh Duggar's wife. Can't find the link now but I was reading a letter from someone who knows the family, and she was just pointing out how his wife wasn't allowed to go to highschool or college, doesn't know any real world stuff, and her entire education was based around being a "good wife." She did everything she was told to do and now is faced with having a husband who not only molested his sisters, but cheated on her multiple times. Yet Josh is going to go away to another "camp" and come out forgiven and "changed." Whereas his wife has to deal with knowing that more than likely he hasn't changed at all, and she can't escape. That shit is sad.
Every (heterosexual) case of a religious dude I know getting caught/exposed for sexual stuff resulted in them being quickly forgiven. Every (heterosexual and homosexual) case of a religious girl being caught/exposed for sexual stuff resulted in them being kicked out of church, ostracized from their family, abandoned, etc. Not just 18 year olds...16 year old girls thrown out of their family and church, whereas the boy was sent to "camp" or forgiven after a long talk with church elders.
