Interesting game. Got into the beta on xbox one this weekend and played a bit. Basically its a moba but without the creep waves. Instead you have these individual domination style control points you are fighting over where you can place a creature that gives you a specific buff.

The game is also a lot more "action-y" like smite. I enjoyed it although I really sucked hard at it. Not my gameplay below but gives you an idea of how different characters work. It's gonna be a free to play title on xbox one and pc.

Been playing this more recently and really enjoying it. They've kind of botched things up until now in how they've handled the beta and they had to lay off staff which is never a good sign.

But ultimately there is a good fun core game here that is different from a typical moba and has more in common with a hero shooter like Overwatch.

I hope they right the ship because there is a fun game worth playing here.

Yeah, that's good-looking. Always nice to see games get away from strictly representational styles.

I know I'm the only one who gives a shit about this game but I have soft spot for it. It will never be a big game but I'm glad its hopefully going to at least reach market. It's no Overwatch by any stretch but its better than just deserving to never be released.

Today we’re excited and proud to announce our new partnership with Perfect World Entertainment.

This partnership is a huge step for Motiga, as it allows us to continue working towards realizing the vision the development team had for Gigantic – a great competitive online game. Even more so, it accelerates opportunities for Gigantic by having more resources available to us. One of the biggest is being worked on already: an opportunity to bring Gigantic to as many versions of Windows as possible. That’s right; we’re developing a version of the game that will be playable on every 64-bit Windows operating system. This version will be made available through Perfect World’s Arc games platform, which is available on Windows 7, 8, 8.1, and 10. Furthermore, the 64-bit version of Gigantic will be released on the same day as the Xbox One and Windows 10 App Store versions. This will help us introduce Gigantic to a larger audience much quicker than we originally anticipated!

We couldn’t be more excited about this announcement, as it has been the number one request from our community over the past year. At the same time, we are also working to make significant improvements to the game over the next few months, based largely on the feedback we gathered from our beta community during the last phase of testing.

Played a bunch of rounds on all three maps with all the heroes on free rotation, with the exception of the bull dude. The art style is dope, the character animation is second to none, and the combat feels pretty fast and fluid without relying on super short TTK. There's a lot of focus on team fights over objectives, which leads to some pretty good combos. Lots of opportunities for hit and run game play too when it comes to stealing power orbs and attacking the enemy giant.

The rules of the game are a little less clear at first than other hero shooters, and I don't think the tutorial quite prepares you for it, so it took me a few rounds to understand some of the intricacies regarding attacking / defending objectives and stealing power orbs. It'll be interesting to see how matches play out once people figure out what they're doing.

The biggest thing setting it back right now, at least for PC users, is that it's not on Steam. Since Perfect World is the publisher, I'm hoping it will find its way there down the line like the rest of their games have. Also hoping they don't ruin it with micro transaction schemes. It's cross-play with xbone players though so that's cool.

Also for some reason there's no text / voice chat implemented at the moment. You have to rely on quick chat commands and a radial menu for pinging objectives, so I recommend playing with others on discord or whatever.

Some hero vids. Uncle Sven and Beckett are my jam:

Glad some one else tried it other than me.  :lol

Yeah the game is definitely more complex in the ruleset than other hero shooters. The tutorial isn't great but I think any tutorial would struggle with how to explain the game. You only really learn by playing it and that's just for the basics. Understanding how to REALLY play it takes a much longer time.

My biggest complain right now is that the xbox and pc community are mixed. That's all egalitarian and all and I understand they need as large a base as possible to pool from for matchmaking. But that should really be an opt-in feature. It shouldn't assume you want to do that. This isn't rocket league where everybody is on an equal footing. Mouse and keyboard is superior in this case.
