if you're in the mood to hate watch a piece of film/animated media, what's your go-to?

mine?

a brutal, but necessary experience to refresh the soul and cleanse the toxins from your humors.

a close runner up would probably be that stupid kevin bacon serial killer show .... I can't remember its name tho.

I highly recommend turning on The Bachelor and just listening to it. If you watch it, you can get distracted by the pretty people and pretty locations. By just listening to it, you really get to experience awfulness on a different level. It's not just the rote, insepid things the air heads have to say .. it's the production choices of when to play music cues, the awkward things the host is forced to say, the "teases" for whatever drama they invented. It's the living embodiment of 50 years of bad television cliches all in one package.

Actually, let me stop fronting. I finished all 8 seasons Dexter even though I mentally checked out like 3 seasons prior.

Holee Shit did Prison Break shit the bed. Lasted four seasons but they ran out of good ideas before the first one was even through.

I still can't believe I pushed myseslf to watch all of Dexter. I had stopped right after season 5 with a more or less high opinion of the show (season five was naff, but forgivable up to that point), watching the last three seasons consecutively within a two week span should have killed all the good taste I had left.

I don't know that I technically hatewatch anything. The bad things I watch I actually like them even though I recognize they are bad. True Detective Season 2 is something I hate watched but I didn't enjoy the experience at all and never ever would watch it again.

I guess Walking Dead would fall into this category for me as I know I will continue to watch it but I'm very mixed on it at all times.

I'd label my stuff guilty pleasure instead of hatewatch.

The Ship on TNT is a good guilty pleasure. It's absolutely terrible from a logical perspective and I understand why a normal person wouldn't waste two seconds on it, but its so dumb it crosses back over into being entertaining. I mean look at this nonsense.

There is another show called younger where this clearly middle aged women pretends to be a young twenty something to get a job. It's ridiculous and utterly unbelievable and frankly condescending. But its also fun to watch. It's like a female version of entourage.

I remember hatewatching The Newsroom and bitching about it constantly even though I kinda enjoyed it.

Was severely disappointed by season 2's swing from godawful to simply mediocre, and delighted by season 3 kicking it back into full on "i dont get kids" Sorkin coke rants.

All time is The Walking Dead. I've seen every episode and I've hated every second of it. It's Under The Dome level awful writing and acting, and every season/half season follows the exact same arc.

You're mistaking all his tortured metaphors and references to 1980s/1990s films for non-sports talk.

I tried to hatewatch Gotham, but on top of being terrible it was too boring so I quit two episodes and a half in.
I don't really hatewatch stuff because I have amazing tolerance, but until the end of the first season I sometimes wondered if the writers had given up on Gotham.

But man, if you compressed the first season into like three episodes and then had the first two episodes of THIS season. And eliminated the Bruce Wayne/Gordon plotline completely. You'd be working with gas.

I'll admit I watched that show for a while, but I think that's when the hate started to overtake.

Jackass 2 in 06 was probably the most I laughed in a movie theater, along with Borat that same year.
