I got it yesterday and played for 30 minutes or so last night. This is very much a (low budget) Platinum game, even has Witch Time when you evade an enemy attack. The environments are really bland, but the gameplay is solid. My only knowledge of Transformers is the old 80s cartoon which this is based on, btw.

How is it Rax?

It's solid. Platinum at the end of the day makes good games. From what I can tell it's a decent combo driven beat-em up. Nothing on the level of Bayonetta but fun enough if you just like to string simple combos together and keep enemies in the air, all while dodging their attacks. Platinum light pretty much. Game looks and runs solid despite the levels being pretty simple.

Feels very 80s in it's aesthetic and music, so if you like that and G1 Transformers I'm sure you'll get some enjoyment out of it.

I mean it's a solid mid-budget Platnium action game.

So it's a $50 Korra but slightly better?

That doesn't really sound too appealing unless your a transformers fan tbh.  I heard it's mostly the MGR staff, so was kind of expecting more of the spectacle of that one.

It's worth buying if you're a Platinum fan and an 80's Transformers fan. Not sure how it would hold up if you're only one of those things.

Also, it's way better than Korra. So much better.

Was watching some videos and this game just looked too awesome to wait on, so I picked it up today.

Transformers Devestation is really Bayformers...and I don't mean that Michael Bay mess, I mean it's Bayonetta with an 80's transformers skin!  There are differences, but the structure is kind of similar and you can even dodge attacks and go into "witch time" just like in Bayo.  Transforming into vehicles isn't just an aesthetic and has uses for getting around, plus you can add a car-smash onto the end of combos at the right time and can use your vehicle mode as a way to break through enemy shields.  There's even little 'hidden' areas and fights to find, just like in Bayonetta.

Am pretty glad I got this.  I know it's supposed to be short, but it's exactly the kind of game I needed.  Been feeling kind of down on gaming lately and this was a good pick me up.
