NHL 2015-2016: The Winds of Winter
« on: October 08, 2015, 11:25:31 AM »

Get ready to drop those gloves. :preach

New overtime rules makes it three-on-three, so hopefully fewer shootouts. (Penalties make it four-on-three, there won't ever be just two players of a team on the ice.)

Can my B's or Glen's Kings actually make it to the playoffs after failing to do so last season? And will Takao and Flannel Boy post again?

The only thing I know for sure is... fuck the Habs.

6-3 to Tampa. We were up 0-2 but our toilet paper defense bites us in the ass again.

First time we're starting a season 0-3 since 1999. Fuck, where's my flask...

The Leafs' plan to go 0-82 this year is rolling along masterfully.

I think someone forgot to tell them that the Connor McDavid sweepstakes was last year through...

I want to be competitive and say the B's will suck more than your team but I don't know if I can finish such a post without bawling my eyes out. :'(

Came back from 0-1 to be 2-1 during the second versus Arizona. Game's still going and we blew 2-0 just a few games ago, but...

They're blocking some impressive shots and racking up a huge number of shots on goal. There's a quickness and speed I haven't seen in a very long time.

I might just have some hope left...

Was sweating there when it was tied at 3-3 for a bit, but two powerplay goals sealed the 5-3 deal.

Two game streak. :punch

Was fucking exhausted last night so I went to bed and completely missed the game.

For the best though I was pleasantly surprised we beat the Islanders 5-3.

Tampa couldn't bear our overwhelming force :punch

Though those last two goals were super weak, needed 2-man advantage and an empty net, respectively. I'm not too worried though, our offense has been great this season so far, and finally the defense is pulling its weight too.

Still undefeated on the road :punch

How can the Bruins be so good (5-0-0) on the road and so consistently bad (1-3-1) at home? Jesus Christ. And now Kelly's out for 6-8 months with a fractured femur. FUCK.

Edit- Yup, make that 1-4-1 at home now. God fucking damnit.

OH MY FUCKING GOD KREJCI

We were up by one against the FUCKING Habs basically the entire game (1-0, then 2-1), and in the last two minutes you THROW IT AWAY by crosschecking IN FRONT OF THE FUCKING REF?!?!?!?!?!

FUCKING

SHIT

After that, of course we lost 2-4 (courtesy one power play and one empty net goals.) Krejci, you need to be benched next game AT LEAST. What the shit were you thinking?

And this coming after we lost our perfect road-game score on Thursday against Washington (I was too busy drinking to post about it.)

So, seriously, who's set to go #1 in next year's draft?

I ask because the Leafs seem hell bent on scoring that pick. :P

Also:  what in the fuck is wrong with Sid so far this year?!

Dude is currently tied for 126th in the points race.  Fewer points scored than noted Leafs points machines Dion Phaneuf and Morgan Reilly.

For that matter, Malkin ain't doing shit this year either.  Tied for 55th in scoring.   With stamkos.  Wtf is going on?!

Holy fucking shit tonight's game vs. the Wings.

Up 1-0 after first period.

Down 1-2 after the second. SUPER sloppy playing, like jeezus.

Managed to get a goal in the last three minutes and push it to overtime.

Got some close calls, but closed it out 3-2 in OT.

These ups and down brehs. :whew
