Seeing that pic reminds me of how beautiful Olive Gardens are. It's like being back in the old country.  :doge

On duty? What's the guy gonna do? Leave it in the car? Then what? Become a high priority hostage? Nah bring it in.

Off duty? Yeah leave that shit in your car.
YMMV

I went to an Olive Garden maybe half a year ago or something and will never returned. It has become a distopia where they force a tablet onto your table and explain you can play games during your meal for a flat fee, order from it, and pay from it. Waiters no longer give a fuck about you unless you call them through the tablet. It was so scust.

????

You're thinking Chili's right? The Olive Garden around here hasn't started to do that and even then you can just tell them you're going to ignore that tablet and they'll have to wait on you.

Omg I tried to tell them, but they had some weird ass group waiting shit going on, so I had 3 separate Olive Garden employees highlight the benefits of the program to me.

that's when you enlighten them about the correlation between the amount of fucks they give about you and the size of the tip they receive.

or stop going to olive garden. seems like the better choice.

Now that I've RTFA'd, it seems strange that the cop was asked to leave, but it seems even more strange that people are expecting that the employee who approached the officer should be fire. FIRED? Seriously, for misunderstanding the company's gun policy? Or for feeling uncomfortable that someone is carrying a weapon which can end their life right quick? Because cops have been so well-represented as rational, responsible gun bearers lately?

Later in the featured article, there's mention of a National Guardsman who was refused service while armed. That one turned out to have a perfectly reasonable explanation, a good one, but I also found myself wondering why the fuck a National Guardsman is wandering around armed. Is he empowered to enforce the law? Are we expecting a fucking invasion? I'm not willing to deal with a constantly armed military presence in my daily life unless we're in danger.
