I had something called the Grand Slamwich. It was 1390 calories.

They must have recently remodeled, because it looked hilariously 'upscale' inside.

I go to Denny's more often than I like to admit.

Last time, my friend just left the food on the table and told them he's not gonna pay cause they couldn't properly put cheese on his scrambled eggs. They just melted a slice on top of them after getting the order wrong the first time.

The Denny's in my hometown went out of business years ago. We used to hang out there late at night in high school.

Hell, I think all the Denny's in Seattle went out business, too. Oh well, we've got Beth's Cafe and The Five Point.

When I was in college there was a Denny's on campus that had a solid buffalo fried chicken sandwich. I ended up at Denny's every few months and always sad that's not there anymore. Mainly just grab a breakfast if I'm there and some coffee.

IHOP's French Vanilla coffee is awesome for a sugar+caffeine high.

One time I ate at a Denny's late at night and my friends got into a fight where legitimate punches were being thrown in the parking lot (I stayed inside to ~~avoid getting clocked~~ prevent the man from dropping a dine and dash charge on us) and our server walked up to me in the middle of it and asked if I'd like them to call the police and I played it off like like it was just some tomfoolery and they left it alone even though the fighting went on awhile longer. Bless you understaffed Denny's near that one strip club.

Same. I'm a huge fan of the big American breakfast and particularly diner-style breakfast food. Sadly, Denny's is entirely unsatisfying. There were a few places in Cali that I liked, such as Uncle Bill's and Stacks, but they were charging a surprising amount of money for pancakes, eggs, bacon, and mediocre coffee. Like getting out of there for just under $20 after tax and tip. Seems steep, but occasionally it's worth it to have someone else make the mess and clean it up for you.

But not Denny's.

The only good Denny's I ever went to was on Waikiki beach, on a corner facing the ocean, right next to the park. The 2nd floor had a perfect view of the ocean. It was amazing. Made the food taste better. Last time I went, that Denny's was gone.
