LOL Looks like a hit a nerve. I don't think it's too much to ask for a great game experience the whole run, but apparently, that's too much to ask for. I hear complaints similar to what I described for Dragon Age Inquisition. Especially by Lager. Hey Lager, remember when you said you couldn't play DAI after Witcher 3? Imagine that for Fallout 4.
Guess what, no one's talking about DAI now, because Witcher 3 knocked it on its ass with an apparently all around great game experience.
If anything, given that this is a sequel to 3 and NV, it'd probably take 10 hours for the seams to come un-done, because more people have been exposed to better quality. FO3 was new and fresh, and Skyrim is Skyrim. We've got New Vegas, which will undoubtedly have better writing than FO4. Witcher 3 apparently had refreshing and extremely open-ended quest design, which raises the stakes even higher. And we know FO4 isn't going to top Witcher 3, because it's Bethesda and Bethesda can't write.
Higher expectations due to Skyrim + higher quality rpgs being released (NV, Witcher 3) means when this game comes out and it's not nearly as good, people are gonna trash it.
I can see it any day now. Looking forward to witnessing the backlash, especially against the voice PC. I don't have any confidence in Bethesda pulling this off.
Then I'll buy it when it's 20 bucks on a Steam sale.
