But you don't think images usually draw a much bigger, more visceral reaction from people than words typically do?  Remember how the Ray Rice thing played out, and how it absolute blew up when the video released?  Plus, it's not like we didn't have enough information beforehand to figure that this incident was pretty horrific.

Greg Hardy attacked me in his apartment. Hardy picked me up and threw me into the tile tub area in his bathroom. I have bruises from head to toe, including my head, neck, back, shoulders, arms, legs, elbow and feet. Hardy pulled me from the tub by my hair, screaming at me that he was going to kill me, break my arms and other threats that I completely believe. He drug me across the bathroom and out into the bedroom. Hardy choked me with both hands around my throat while I was lying on the floor. Hardy picked me up over his head and threw me onto a couch covered in assault rifles and/or shotguns. I landed on those weapons. Hardy bragged that all of those assault rifles were loaded. Landing on those weapons bruised my neck and back. Hardy screamed for his administrative assistant (Sammy Curtis) to come into the room and hold me down. Hardy and Curtis then took me into the living room area. I wasn't nearly strong or fast enough to escape. I begged them to let me go and I wouldn't tell anyone what he did. They took me out into the hall, pushed me down and went back inside his apartment. I crawled to the elevator and ran into CMPD.

I mean, it's a good thing that it's getting more scrutiny now.  I just feel like this reaction was already warranted last year based on the information that was available.

Saddest part is the victim telling the police officer who stopped her and asked her what happened "It doesn't matter. Nothing is going to happen to him anyways."

I mean, it's pretty obvious and has been forever that Jerry gives no fucks about anything other than winning a Super Bowl and will hire any lunatic he thinks will help the team win.

But yeah, in a perfect world, Hardy would be in jail, Jerry would get suspended, and Goodell... well, in this perfect world Goodell would have been shitcanned after he fucked up that LAST domestic abuse case last year.

Reminds me of the Ray Rice incident. He got a slap on the wrist initially, and then the video came out which caused everyone to freak out. What did you think domestic violence looked like? Better yet, what did you imagine an athlete in his prime punching his girlfriend would look like? Same thing here as Mandark said.

They settled out of court so this case is essentially over. She took the money, he served a suspension...it's over. Do I think he should have been suspended longer, preferably for the season? Yes. But I wouldn't support retroactively re-suspending him now. This is simply another Goodell fuck up. Put it on the list.
