Honestly if the game's premise and setting are even remotely interesting to you I think you'll have a lot of fun. I played this for about 15 hours back when it came out on Steam and it was great. The combat has weight to it and feels satisfying, there is a good selection of equipment to keep things fresh and the game has a good balance of skill to accessibility ratio. Very polished as well.

I spent 20 buck on it IIRC and it was well worth it at that price.

Janky as fuck.

Thanks for the "free" Zweihander in Killing Floor 2, though. :doge Most powerful thing for the Berserker class in that game.

It sure as hell looks like the type of game I dreamed about as a kid. Still haven't bought it though...I already have multiple Steam games that I haven't played yet lol, no need in adding another until I have time to really dive in.

I've heard enough contradictory impressions about the combat that I'm willing to give it a try to see for myself.

Just for you, bb:

If you want more Elderscrolls combat in a PvP mode, great. For me, the combat is terrible (and I give the Elderscroll's shit for that as well). The only reason I picked it up was for the Killing Floor 2 cross-promotion item. And I regret spending the money on it. I probably shouldn't say it's totally jank. But it certainly isn't worth the $60 that they're going to ask on the X-box version. You should wait until a sale unless you're really jonesing for terrible first person sword combat multiplayer.
