That site is a death-hoax-hoax.  Notice how the comments on the one you linked go back a few years even though the posted date is listed as current.

BBC News just tweeted that his son confirmed it.

ahhhh, shit.

this sucks a lot. I mean, the guy just put out a great album. You can't say he didn't have anything left to offer, he quite clearly did. My favorite bit of praise I ever read about David Bowie...

Hell speaking of Lemmy their death's are pretty similar. Days after a birthday and it was due to cancer.
and did any of us think they were roughly the same age? I sure as hell didn't.

Got to see him on the first show of the Outside tour back in '95. He mostly played stuff off the new and at the time unreleased new album and this was back before everything leaked so nobody was familiar with the material at all. Bold move.

I've spent 10 years obsessively listening to him. I've never had a portable music device that didn't have his entire discography. What a bummer this is. The Next Day was good and Blackstar is great. This would be easier to swallow if it didn't seem like his career was just about to enter an exciting new chapter.

Nothing says FANDOM than having never bought the artist's music. :gurl

Fuck off asshole. I've bought his music in multiple forms plenty of time. Ever hear of iTunes?

When someone's legitimately posting that they're upset about something it's not time for try-hard edgy posting.

First famous death since James Gandolfini that's shaken me. The variety of Bowie's entire career is mindblowing, he never sat on one style or musical phase, always changing, always trying something new.

One of the the most talented performers to start their career in the 1960's and continue all the way to death. We'll never get another Bowie ever again.

My favorite Bowie content is all of his stuff from the 90's. Incredibly melancholy and experimental, the music has dark tones but it wasn't grunge in nature.

Farewell Starman, safe journey home.  :(

KEXP played Bowie all day on Friday for his birthday and it was awesome. My daughter and I were rocking out to it together on the car ride home.

They're playing Bowie all day again today and I'm just sad.

I saw him on that tour as well, loved seeing Low in it's entirety. I was lucky enough to see him with NIN back in the day as well.

I had been withholding watching this when it first released because I wanted to listen to the album first.

I just watched it for the first time. What a hauntingly, chilling record. Jesus Christ, Bowie is a master of artistic music even in death.

What a fucking baller. You magnificent bastard, THANK YOU SO MUCH!
