It is utterly excruciating but as it's all the kids are listening to I pretend to like it to avoid ostracism from the physical and social spaces I wish to occupy

Love it. Listening to the Jurassic Park Theme slowed down 1000% and now it sounds like a song that would be in a David Lynch movie.

Ah so it's like vaporwave except even lazier and shittier somehow. Isn't this an oldish thing already? To wit:

Yeah anyone can do this, just dl a copy of audacity and fire up paulstretch  and boom, there you go. The recent Judge Dredd remake used that plugin a lot throughout it's sountrack

This isn't really the sort of music I meant (like, imagine Lavos just continuously screaming for 20 minutes. not slowed down or nothin). The Call Mé Maybe is excellent though.

Yeah I think so, although I don't think I've actually heard those, just local Seattle acts that sound like what I had imagined Merzbow et al to sound like from reading descriptions of them.

Yeah, there's an audio stretch option thingee in Protools exactly like that too. Of course Audacity costs $0 while Protools is like $800 or the low low price of $300 if you're a student.

Listen to a band called Portal from Australia. It's like a nightmare in music form.

It sounds like people laughing at you for coming to school naked and you can't even remember what class you have next or where your books are?

I would prefer it to sound like Kefka's laugh to Lavos' scream tbh
