Yeah, he was definitely the dad from Beethoven for me but I just rewatched Midnight Run and The Heartbreak Kid(!) and he was great in both.

(Midnight Run is leaving HBO Max at the end of the month and The Heartbreak Kid is on only available on YouTube(no DVD/Bluray/streaming.)

No, his publisher has confirmed it. Passed away at 54

Dude's art was legendary, incredibly sad. And that's it for Berserk unless they have someone else ghostwrite it which I don't expect to happen. Just sad all around.

According to Reddit, Miura had notes written for more storylines and was training his studio members to continue before he passed. Not sure if that's confirmed.

The thing with Miura is that artistically no one is going to be able to emulate his art style. I can't think of a more talented manga artist ever.

I wasn't expecting Berserk to ever be finished, but i still wasn't expecting him to go this young.

Some weeks ago John Paul Leon also died (of cancer), probably the best American comic book artist of the last 20 years.

I must have read a hundred children's books this year and I've never heard of him. I was surprised to see his name getting so much attention in the media. I'll try to find something by him the next time I visit the library.
