Good to see a lower price, but you're getting a smaller iPhone 6S without that new touch feature that they introduced, worse battery life, and a lower-res screen.  And you just know that the iPhone 7 is coming in the fall.  What's the point?

Some people really prefer the smaller size, and it's an avenue to keep up with increased performance of the newer models and to adequately run future software updates?  Not a mystery why they would do this, and why it will probably sell quite nicely.

I agree with you.  I like my 6 but I greatly preferred the size of the 5 and the design of the 4/5.

I just can't imagine that they would support those in the same release cycle as the mainline number iterations, and I don't really like that.  I'll probably be getting the 7.

I'm still happy with my 5S, but I did have to drop out-of-warranty money on a replacement battery. It was $80 at a third party shop, but would have been the standard 70% of initial retail price if I'd gone to Apple, i.e. ~$300. For a battery. And I would have needed an appointment to have it looked at.

Overall, I dislike Apple business model more, and their quality has been dropping. My Apple TV shipped with a dysfunctioning remote, requiring replacement.

Because I buy new hardware so infrequently, I'm not their target demographic. Kind of locked in at this point.  :'(

HUH? I have the 6, had a 5E before that,  and a droid as a personal phone and there is no comparison in build quality.

So all Droids are made by the same company?  Bruh.     This Samsung Note 5 I have is easily on par with an iPhone-- made from metal and glass.  All the 'premium' phones are the same shit.

I don't know about old models.  The Note 5 I have is the first Android phone I've owned.  It's got great build quality.

I don't even want to ask what you're doing to get cracked screens.  I've had battery issues, phones "hanging," and stuck buttons occur on previous iPhones I've owned.  I guess they must all suck too. 

The only thing that iPhones have going for them over Androids are resale value.  Apart from that, it's all the same ol' shit.

Motorola and Samsung phones definitely seem to have the best/most exotic build materials while Nexus phones are always just drab silicone/plastic. These are just facts but how something feels in your hand probably mostly has to do with like weight balance or the shape of the back.

The iPhone4 was way ahead of Androids at the time in build quality but that was 6 years ago y'all.

I think they said that something like 30 million iPhone 5S models were sold in the last year.  My question is...is that for the size or because of a reduced price?  It's got to be the latter.

Well I went with the 6 over the S model. I don't want to try to carry around what's basically a tablet all day.

Yeah my phone has the same sort of dimensions as the plus model iPhones and it's usable for me but different strokes.

It's going down to 4 inch screen that I find skeptical as it's been a few years since those were popular.

Well I went with the 6 over the S model. I don't want to try to carry around what's basically a tablet all day.

That's far from a tablet size.  I worried about 'phablet' sizes myself, but in the end they're not that much larger and fit into my pocket with no problem.  Nice having better battery life too.  But I wouldn't want something larger.

Yes, have owned iPhones since 2008.  The Note 5 I got recently is the first Android phone I've ever owned.  At work it's just basic troubleshooting.
