Elder Scrolls Online - Tamriel Unlimited
« on: April 11, 2016, 02:34:18 AM »
Bought a second hand copy for 16 euro this weekend. Figured I'd play a few hours to see what the deal was with the last of the theme park MMO's. Normally Bethesda games have mega dull writing so I though and MMO would be a perfect fit to liven things up with maybe some PVP.

First impressions:

-John Cleese does the voiceover for one of the first NPC's you meet
-Music is good

Anyone play this before?

I played the beta for a few hours and it was alright. If it had been released 10 years ago it would have been fantastic.

Yeah, it feels really old school.

Would be more exciting to have a sandbox MMO like Black Desert on PS4  :)

Played it on xbox. I thought it was decent enough although I'm not really a huge mmo guy so I can't speak to what the community actually wants or desires.

It's alright, but I'd rather just play a regular Elder Scrolls game.

There is something clinical/clean and uninspired how the enviroments feel, like a naughties title

the combat is fun, with the blocking of attacks, feels more realtime

I liked that it was action based and not another hotbar game.

I mean technically there are hot bars but it doesn't really feel like WoW in that way.

Maybe Im liking it because I didnt expect much, but the combat is really decent and seems made for consoles.

Honestly so far Im digging this more then Fallout 4
