Battlefield Hardline
« on: May 09, 2016, 03:31:45 AM »
Anyone end up buying this? I know a lot of people skipped out in favour of mainline games such as Battlefield 4 but I noticed both are on sale for $10 and the DLC is free until the end of tomorrow/today (May 10th).
Is it worth picking up? Do people still play the multiplayer? Or should I just pick up Battlefield 4...or neither?

Worth it at that price even for the single player which some say is shit but I disagree. They tried something different here and it works, just don't expect your usual battlefield game. I think the MP is still fairly active and the modes that they made are super fun and engaging. I've meant to go back and play more hotwire (my favorite mode) some more, but just haven't gotten around to it.

Just pick up BF4. Hardline got a slight uptick of players due to the sale, but it's still a vastly inferior and underplayed game compared to BF4.

(On PC. Consoles are only playing Hardline on current-gen due to there being barely anything there.)

Hardline's OK. Nothing special. If you want to try it and have a PC or Xbone. Get Origin/EA Access as the version EA gives away now is the premium version with all DLC added. You also get Battlefield 4 Premium and PvZ Garden Warfare which are also better.

Hotwire mode is fun though. I'll give it that.

Thanks for the feedback. Ended up getting Battlefield 4 since according to some stats websites it has wayyyy more people playing still than Hardline. And at $10 it's hard to go wrong

Excellent choice for Battlefield 4 over Hardline. I bought Hardline the day it came out and got the season pass but it just wasn't as fun to me as 4 is.

I find no lies in this statement, did the same thing.
YMMV
