yo these are garbage tests based on no data and debunked theories (the test publishers had to create their own journal bc no one else would publish their studies lol) so i hope everyone is just dicking around and taking these about as seriously as a buzzfeed quiz

I don't know the history of these tests that well, but I find myer's briggs to resonate and be generally more interesting than any other personality test I've taken. funny how turbulent it pinned me as, career wise im stable af, but personally I definitely value more turbulent, impulsive or even reckless behaviour vs. careful, planning types.

the reason it resonates with you and everyone else is just a barnum/forer effect you learn about in psyc-101, same ish as horoscopes

you are right that they are way more interesting to ppl than the competition though, that's how they get the $$$$, Big Five ppl really need to come up with a version that classifies people as "types" that's the only way to get folks interested in their results

This isn’t meant to suggest that INTJs act without conscience, but to many Feeling (F) types, INTJs’ distaste for acting on emotion can make it seem that way, and it explains why many fictional villains (and misunderstood heroes) are modeled on this personality type.

I knew that there was a reason for this, but I lacked the emotional intelligence to deduce it.

I believe A/T is how confident you are in what you are.

It's pretty close, but the percentages lean toward ambiguity rather than insight. Pretty sure I've seen other Myers-Briggs tests which are just two-value, eschewing strength of agreement, or at least eliminating the "neither" option, forcing a choice.

you can probably trust your extraversion score, that's one of the Big Five (and also happens to be one of the easiest personality traits to measure, either through self-report or observer reports)

the other four traits listed there don't show up in any other research, and the particular "types" that come out of the test are total bullshit nonsense, never been validated in any for real journal article, horoscope level text descriptions
