Euro is off to a great start with many goals already and some nice games.

Polands first game is tonight and Im pretty antsy as their last two pre euro games were not so good.

Putting the England team in Marseille for the group stage was a bit unfortunate. English hooligans made a number to the city in 1998. They would probably have been troublemakers anywhere else but the locals were already red-hot to "keep them in check".

England Vs Russia was already a powderkeg of a matchup. Fuckery was going to happen either way really.

My dad and my brother were lucky enough to get tickets for Republic of Ireland Vs Sweden on Monday and are over in Paris now. Glad for em' and should be a jovial game with an amazing atmosphere, though everyone's still a little on edge. At least this current Republic Squad isn't an embarrassment like the shower that showed up in 2012 so it should be a nice tight game against the Swedes.

Also still weird to have to differentiate Republic from the North since they are in the tournament as well. Should be a humdinger for the North versus Poland tonight. Two really strong squads and a hungry NI team who has really started to prove they want out of the "qualifying minnows" designation they normally get.

Good game from Poland, totally dominated the Irish (60/40) and had many attempts while only giving away one chance in last minutes.

Lewandowski was kept out of the game by the Irish but Milik made it happen. Finishing needs to improve but Im hopefull for getting out of the group now.

belgium were meant to be one of the teams to watch and group favourite but damn did italy deal with them. maybe if lukaku stepped up it might have been different but italy looked so comfortable for almost the whole game

Sweden is so fucking dire. Zlatan wishes he was with a better team during that Italy game. Italy were fairly awful today as well and just snuck out a last minute winner, but good fucking lord Sweden is offensively bad this year.

Belgium deserved that win. Ireland were just complete shite in the second half. Belgium then suddenly remembered how to play again and showed that they can be one of the best sides in the world when they can be arsed to be and ran riot. We have to beat a second-string Italy but we'll probably bin that as well if they play as bad as they did during the second half vs Belgium.

Iceland was robbed though. They should have won that.

Everyone but Portugal has realized that once you stop Portugal playing the fast and flowing game they want to play and run a stubborn and physical game. They crack and start making mistakes, especially Ronaldo. They will beat Hungary, no doubt. Hungary hasn't got one of the most aggravating defensive walls in the tournament like Austria has or a team willing to just play their goddamn hearts out like Iceland. But getting KO'd in the last 16 is possible for Portugal.

Speaking of Stubborn. Albania knocking out Romania even though they barely have a chance at last 16 themselves was incredible. Ugly as fuck game and Romania went real dirty (I'd class Israel as the dirtiest side in UEFA but Romania's a pack of "see you next Tuesdays" at their worst), but Albania grabbing a win was deserved after the performances they put in. Ukraine and Turkey are also out so there's still a lot to play for. But the maths are pretty bad for Albania with a -2 goal difference.

Upper table I'd put my money on Croatia vs Belgium, Wilmots just isn't good enough as a coach.
Poland has a shot as well, with their defense and counterattacking they are threat against any team that wants to make the game. Not so sure about teams that don't want the ball themselves.

Poland, easily. Belgium were absolutely gash against Italy and the first half against Ireland. Then they suddenly remembered they are a world class side and shanked Ireland (Who also forgot how the fuck to play in the second half). And in the highly unlikely scenario that they lose against Sweden and Ireland beats Italy. They are going home as well. Belgium's consistency has been awful so far that even if they do make the round of 16, they will probably be sent packing.

Poland's a fiesty attacking side who were really unlucky not to beat Germany. They are probably the heaviest hitter. Switzerland and Wales are potent threats as well.

hope well be better rested against portugal/croatia, had two days less then the swiss now and it showed in the end
