There are what I would term "hyperliteral" grammatical* debates about this, but what I'm asked to use (
that's transgender, not transgendered) works for me.
English is a mongrel tongue, so I always find appeals to its regular constructions--in particular during some front of the kulturkampf--cause for suspicion
prima facie.
If you've ever known someone who responded to you saying, "So-and-so was smarter than me," with, "Me am smart," to try and show you that you sound like an idiot when you're just abiding by pronoun usage in object noun situations, you are familiar with this variety of insufferable human being.
