*** Special news bulletin ***

A source from inside the studio has confirmed that Konrad (FuriousMoo) is no longer employed by 22cans. He was in fact already gone by the time colin22cans was made redundant, although not long before. As far as is clear at this time, he did not choose to leave on his own accord, meaning he was "made redundant" as well. As for where he is now and what he is doing, the situation remains unclear.

Not long after the release of Godus Wars, the brunt of the Godus team was moved over to the Trail, at least everyone with knowledge of Unity. The Trail purportedly is a walking simulator with nice looking art but very little substance.

*** End of bulletin ***

The person he's talking about is the lead designer.

:piss Molyneux :piss2

They 'forgot' about him. Last I heard, the Humble Bundle people wanted to jump in and give him 10% of the profits of an upcoming bundle. Dunno if that actually happened.

If they do, post it. I'll throw a dollar in as a fuck you to Molyneux.

They already did the bundle back in February, but I can't find out how much money is made.

This thread reminded me to see what happened with another gimmicky indie wank, The Flock, the game that got some buzz last year based on it's premise of a finite number of global respawns before the game shut down forever.

Turns out the respawn countdown stuck at ~215 Million, the devs have bailed on it, and no one's playing it anymore anyway (big surprise).

Oh god. Reminds me of when I worked for this bunk ass startup that put a time limit on its mobile card game and told you to go do something else once you used up your daily allotment of lifes. And unlike most skinnerboxes you couldnt pay to keep playing (not that you would want to). The heads of the company thought it was genius and had some stupid slogan to go with it that was in all the early press material.

The idea got patched out in the next release.

Molyneux would be a perfect fit on the Star Citizen team
