actually, i should confess that i usually turn physx down or off more because the fluid simulation looked (still does maybe?) like complete garbage to me more than trying to increase framerate, i wish there was a way to turn on/off certain effects only
geforce experience says i could max it out in borderlands 2 even on this 560, for example, but i automatically turned it off back when that came out because i saw the ugly fluid graphics in a trailer
also i think in the first batman or something there was no proper clipping on the cloth simulation so it'd constantly clip through all the geometry

oh PhysX i remember when you had some GAFfers convinced we'd all be putting PhysX cards in our computers only to immediately see GPGPU capabilities appear and you sell out to nVidia before you became worthless
i'm shocked to find out that nVidia actually put it somewhat open source last year and the SDK has been free yet Batman is like the only "name" thing to come out that used it in like two years since Borderlands Pre-Sequel and the prior Batman though apparently Fallout 4 got a patch for bullet debris powered by FLEX and Star Citizen is using it
