So I'm drunk but it seems like a pretty basic idea during the age of tinder/bumble/ect

Like let me swipe on some dudes to to help find fellow bros who want to go to bars, play pick up sports, or whatever.

Tinder is sorta doing this with its new "Tinder Social" feature.

Not sure if it will catch on though because the app is still heavily associated with dating.

And speaking from personal experience, if I do end up making new friends it's usually because they are mutual friends of another friend that I have known for sometime.

So... I feel like the success of a "Find a Friend App" would have to heavily depend upon a pre-existing network of mutual friends.

I'm socially autistic in most contexts.

edit: I'm actually surprised I still have IRL friends.

I guess I mean there's a stigma when it comes to just asking some stranger to be your friend out of the blue.

Just go to some Meetup.com events. Like half of the people I hang out with nowadays are from a local arcade/pinball Meetup I go to.

I believe a lot of apps tried it but it seems like none really took off?
Otherwise I think Facebook groups are used for this, mostly of the 'new to town xyz' type.
