Got my first foul ball yesterday.

Liner going down third base line coming right at my kids. Snagged it like a boss :hitler

Then we got a bit too much attention so they moved is to a comfort suite.

PS: I gave the ball to a 4 year old because my daughter didn't want it because it's not endorsed by Kevin Durant..... :tocry

Anyway anybody else ever get one? Story please!

Edit: Yes baby AiA wore her Durant jersey to the game. And suprisingly enough nobody said anything stupid other than the standard and expected booooos and sell out comments.

Cleveland fans showing that class.
YMMV

Ever since the first time I went to see a baseball game as a kid I've had this fear that one day I'll be at a game with my mom or wife/gf/female friend and a home run or foul ball will speed towards them...I reach for it, miss, and the ball nails them in the head.
:brazilcry

Imagine the shame of being on live television and taking an L like that :tocry

I was at Comerica Park last year and was super alert, ready for a ball that never came.

My favorite baseball memory was going to a Reds game as a wee lad, I had brought an album of Reds baseball cards that I had gotten as a gift. One of the most interesting cards to me at the time was a baseball card of Marge Schott, the owner and her big St. Bernard. I thought it was so interesting that the owner of a baseball team would warrant their own baseball card.

So anyways I'm at this Reds game with this stupid little album of baseball cards, and my family notices that Marge Schott is in our section. Of course she was right up front and we were way in the back, but it didn't matter. I took my baseball card and a marker down to her and asked her to autograph it, and she did! It was the only autograph I got that day but I thought it was pretty neat.

A few years later she went on a bunch of racist tirades and totally ruined that memory.  :doge

A few years ago I went to a Ducks (minor league team) game and a foul ball came within like 3" of clocking my ex in the face.

And now my coworkers are doing an outing to the Ducks game this week, and senior leadership is going so you are pretty much forced to go.  :-\

Well at least she was okay!

I personally watched a girl in a field box take one right off the top of her head. She was on her phone and talking the entire game despite being warned by fans and ushers that she was in a pretty common area for foul balls.....we all made she sure we okay then judged her appropriately.

If you're going to go to a baseball game and sit anywhere down the lines put your goddamn phone away and enjoy it.

Not a big baseball guy but gonna make the best of it. And don't worry, after leaving FB and taking that off my phone I hardly ever look at it anymore.

I remember this. She used to sit behind the Reds dugout in a front row. She took two seats. She had a phone attached to her seat! We sat a row down from her and it was surreal. She showed up for like 3 innings and left.
