Bad Food Delivery Stories |OT|
« on: August 31, 2016, 08:13:14 PM »
Preemptive apology for formatting this like greentext, it's too long of a story to go through:

> Classes got canceled so I decided to order some Cuban food for delivery for breakfast at 10AM and watch some Netflix.
> Look at reviews and find out they are notorious for forgetting orders and/or making them late.
> Call 10 minutes later to make sure they got the order, they said they just got it.
> Online delivery confirms they got the order and are working on it.
> An hour and a half passes and I decide to call and nobody was answering.
> Call like 7 more times between me and my room's phone.
> Have the owner call me 15 minutes later asking if there's anything he could do to help.
> Tell him my order is half an hour late and I made sure he was at least working on my meal.
> Owner tells me he never got the order because the online delivery is bugged.
> End the call.
> Have the owner call me two more times asking me why I called.
> Later realize he was probably mocking me.
> Another hour and a half passes, I ask if my order is ready.
> Owner yells as hard as he can through the phone claiming he never got the order or talked to me.
> I tell him if he doesn't have my order I'll just get my money back through the service.
> Owner then immediately recites my order, says he has it, and then goes on this huge rant about how I should've just dealt with him directly instead of going through the service and hangs up on me.
> Not wanting the food I cancel the order and get a refund through the online delivery service.
> Get the refund and the person I talk to apparently gets cussed out by the manager there.
> Realize I used the wrong card and tied up some of my FASFA money on a refund for fast-food.
> My phone blows up with the store trying to call me; I have to block him.
> It's now 2:10PM and I haven't eaten since lunchtime after class yesterday.
> Put on my finest clothes to go to my holy savior that is Taco Bell.
> Hear someone knock on my door.
> Open the door and loudly say "I'm sorry I don't want the food."
> Turns out this was the UPS guy, who gives me the package laughing.
> Feeling dejected I head to Taco Bell.
> Order tons of shit I don't need because I'm hungry as hell.
> Eat it and sit on my couch wondering why the hell I'm in this situation.
> All of a sudden I can't breathe and my chest tightens up.
> This is how I die.
> Turns I have acid reflux again and now can't breathe when I eat too much acidy food.
> Become weirdly introspective and think about all the Ls in my life that lead to this point.
> What was supposed to be a day to myself was cucked out by a restaurant owner.

Anyone else have any shitty delivery stories?

Not my story, but a local place I order from has a Yelp review which begins "THEY HAVE FUCKED ME FOR THE LAST TIME!"

Food Truck in San Francisco. Spent $8 on an a la carte grilled cheese sandwich. It had a pickle. Not sure how I got caught up in the moment that I ordered fried bread and cheese for $8.

There's this one time the delivery guy told me and my brother we probably shouldn't be getting pepperoni on our pizza because there's probably pork in it.

Is this even true in Saudi? The pepperoni at Pizza Huts in Kuwait, Iraq, etc. were made from beef and possibly halal.

I live too far away from anything to get food delivered.

That's my story.

If you're in a hotel room with another person, you go online and you order domino's with exactly the stuff you want on it. You don't order anything from room service or from the sponsored local restaurants.
