OU :salute

You went from 1-2 to 11-2 and a Sugar Bowl win. Even though you couldn't sneak back into the playoff picture, you still won the National Championship of my heart.

Thoughts on the championship? I know the Kiffin fuckery will be focused on/blame but I think Clemson has a shot regardless.

Also you could really see the gap in talent in the lines between Bama/Clemson and their opponents. I never thought OSU was great this year but I didn't expect them to be completely shut out like that. Their o-line got destroyed.

Speaking of the Big Ten...gotta expect Michigan takes a major step back next season as they lose a shit ton of players. They'll likely be very good in 2018 though. PSU clearly isn't going to disappear. OSU's young players will no doubt be better, but they lose some big playmakers like Hooker (who I'd love to see in a Lions jersey). I think Dantonio fucked up by bringing his shitty OC back so MSU will likely be average at best.

If Bo gets 27+ carries I don't see how Bama loses. Watson and that offense arent the same level they were last year, and they may not need to be. But i'd feel more comfortable picking them if they were.

I think Clemson has the talent to hang but Watson is too turnover prone against a team that's biggest identity this season is its ability to score Non Offensive Touchdowns.

Kiffin is a better offensive play caller than Sark but I think Sark will stick to more of what Saban wants, which will likely be running the ball.

I'd like to see a team like Indiana or Iowa contend in the Big 10 next year. I have no idea on what their roster situation looks like, but I get tired of the same 3-4 teams every year being the best.

--\\--

I have no feel for the National Championship this year. Both teams are kind of flawed in different ways. I could see Clemson getting a big lead early and holding onto it, or I can see them imploding in the first half and it being a ho-hum 24-13 game.

Last year I was fairly confident Alabama was going to win. It doesn't feel the same this year.

I was about to lose my shit at the end of the that OU/OSU game. Officials overturning an unreviewable play because of "an egregious error"  :doge but in the end, OU got the ball back and whooped that ass. 62-52 final score, lol defense, but both QBs were picked off twice and Baker Mayfield got sacked 5 times.  :dizzy

Another loss as punishment for insisting on having THE in your school name.

My wife's entire family continues to be on suicide watch with another Nebraska loss, and they're all hoping that their chosen one relative becomes the head coach.

Curious to see if Nebraska hires Frost this weekend after UCF's game. I've mentioned it before, but he's my wife's cousin and that would make Christmas in Omaha batshit insane.

Being a Notre Dame alum, I’m used to people hating us and the media overrating us. I love the game, but I’m secretly happy that things are done playoff-wise (the writing’s been on the wall for a long while) and I can go about my life without stressing about their performance.

I can finally enjoy this Saturday to the fullest. Go Irish.

Oklahoma's locked into the playoffs with this thrashing of TCU. Baker Mayfield's just padding his stats out there.

Can't stand OSU but they should have been in. If you don't win your conference you shouldn't get a spot. Yea they lost to Iowa but
:yeshrug

The committee set this precedent last year so it's not surprising. This is gonna allow wack ass Notre Dame to sneak into the playoffs one year, just watch...

Ohio State needed to whoop Michigan and Wisconsin's ass. They didn't.

I don't really even hear many Buckeye fans complaining. Most are realistic about the team. It's mostly the anti-SEC people that are salty.

A case can be made for OSU, but they didn't get screwed out of a spot. Once you've lost twice, you're basically at the mercy of the court.

This has been worst CFB year in a while due to the fact LSU lost to TROY. Like, I can't talk shit about anything. Most of the bowls are terrible, only real hope remaining is that bama steals Clemson's soul and then goes on to whiff to OU or some noise.

I want the mid-majors to band together and make their own playoff. I get so tired of rooting for a MAC team and then watch them get a shitty bowl against a nothing team on Christmas Eve.

There's really no scenario where a team from the MAC, AAC, Mountain West and Conference USA have the perfect season and get into the BCS. At least a playoff between these conference champions would have some stakes involved.
