Then I played it on Lanparty and not even unlimited Whisky could save the gameplay which got boring after 45 minutes

What? The gunplay in the first was fine. The major problem was lack of maps (which took forever to correct), and the maps weren't balanced for Titan/Pilot mixed gameplay. That and the small player-count in matches and... *continues to list thousands of things wrong with it?*

...But the gunplay? What?!? The gunplay is basically a clone of CoD with some exceptions (smart pistol)
:idont

Didn't play it but heard there were smart gun problems, weapon balance problems, and that some guns fealt unsatisfying.

I'll be playing this one for sure, just a little cautious from what I remember people saying.

If I recall correctly, the weapon balance for pilots (the players) were fine. The titans were wonky because the primaries were alright with the exception of the charge one. But nearly everyone ran Smoke and/or Nuke because those were the only two viable perk options.

Smart gun became a HUGE problem as the game died out and "pro" players stuck around because they could easily get headshots or kills while "GOTTAGOFAST"ing. It's why Respawn (outright said they) slowed the game down in an attempt to appeal to the masses while making the Smart Pistol into a burn card or whatever. To try to rebalance that when (IMO) they should've just dropped the speed slightly and removed the Smart Pistol entirely. Not even as a burn card. The whole weapon was a poor idea. Let's reward players for equipping something and barely having to aim!

Yeesh. EA being EA's worst enemy, huh?

I don't think the release date is the major problem. It certainly doesn't help, but baggage from the first game is the major albatross around the second ones neck. There's baggage from multiple angles there.

The beta is actually what convinced me not to buy it.  I really didn't feel some of the changes even though the 2nd weekend was much better.  I'll catch it on a sale instead.

It's a shame, too, because the final game turned out better than the beta.  That's what they get for releasing this right between Battlefield 1 and CoD, I guess.

Where to start?
http://www.neogaf.com/forum/showthread.php?t=1304111

Quote
On my way back a few hours later, I saw 2 black males around the truck. One was looking in the trunk while the other was standing on the foot stool of the cab looking at the antennae on top. That struck me as odd, and not the behavior of someone who owned the vehicle.  I doubled back as I was calling 911 to report the suspicious activity and they were both looking in the back of the vehicle.

That antennae...up to no good. 911 emergency pls

Quote
I got to thinking later on though, did I racially profile them? I don't think I did because I called based on their actions at the time as in my mind, no one that owns a vehicle would be looking at the antennae the way one guy was....and that really was the most suspicious part of it.

Why was "questions" edited out of the thread title about the CNN employee giving away questions to Hillary Clinton?

Original thread with revised title:

Google cache archive of the thread:

This is rather strange  :doge

It reminds me of the new FBI probe thread that got the name changed to something else.

Is there a reason for this?

They abbreviated the word question to "q's", same with another word in the title. I don't get what you're trying to suggest.  ???

They added more info to the title and thread titles have a set character limit so they condensed "questions" to "q's."

At least we've pretty much stopped hearing the inane, baseless nonsense about the emails possibly being tampered with or forged. Which actually I kind of missed, because it was a nice litmus test for whether someone will uncritically repeat any spin that benefits Clinton.

lol Black Ops 2 is much better than Cod4, Cod 4 has nostalgia effect on it but the game has nothing on Black Ops 2, Bo2 was fun, competitive, skillful and very balanced.

Cod4 on the other hand has perks that ruin the game like Stopping power or Juggernaut, making other perks pretty useless when you are on 1v1, it also i a UAV GALORE wich is terrible, nobody has the courage to say this but it is the true, Cod4 still has a place in my heart but it was bad balanced and is miles behind Black Ops series on that front, specially Bo2 wich was absolutely amazing.

Being realistic does not hurt, Bo2 is miles better than Cod4 but Cod4 still remains an favorite simply because it was the game that changed everything and that is why we love it and i will play it, also gameplay is fantastic.

That's gross. She's a mom now, she's way past exhibiting her body. I'm not against erotica but please respect the characters. I will pretend it's a porn actress who got Jessica's old suit at an Avenger yard sale so that I will be able to enjoy the drawing.

THIS IS A FUCKING COMIC BOOK CHARACTER.

Sounds like a troll to me.  A little too on the nose for some of the Neopuritans on GAF.

Re: modern FPS games

Am I the only one who wants a modern, AAA FPS war game set in WW2 again?

Also, how is Battlefield 1?  Thinking of picking it up.

it also i a UAV GALORE wich is terrible, nobody has the courage to say this but it is the true
it's true, the biggest flaw of the game, not letting me shoot down UAVs

actually, one big flaw in all the CoD's is the lack of being able to make a loadout based entirely around shooting down UAVs

Black Ops II actually does let you get close to being a complete terror against equipment, I think I figured out a MW3 loadout that was close

unless the numbers on steamcharts are wrong, World at War still has pretty high player counts, more than AW and Ghosts certainly, I keep meaning to see if it's true in multiplayer

EDIT: 30 day averages
BOIII - 6700 (no sp/mp split)
BOII - 1775
WAW - 1625 (no sp/mp split, Steam not required)
MW3 - 1564
MW2 - 1538
BO - 629
Bad Company 2 - 500 (Steam not required)
BOII Zombies - 470
Ghosts - 365
4:MW - 257 (no sp/mp split, Steam not required)
AW - 211
2 - 122 (no sp/mp split, Steam not required)

So I was taking my daughter around Trick or Treating, her first time. We came to a house where the person, rather than candy, was giving out Trump buttons and bumper stickers. After they gave the candy to me, she asked me if I was voting for Trump. Rather than ignoring her, like I should have, I responded, "no." She told me "well, say goodbye to your little one, because you're going to jail for a long time for aiding and abetting a known fugitive."

I ignored her and just kept walking. But now that I'm home, I can't help but worry as a concerned parent. If by some stretch of the imagination that Trump wins the election and Hillary does go to jail, could the aiding and abetting laws therein include anyone who has endorsed, supported, or possibly even voted for her? I mean, it would take a madman to prosecute and jail nearly half the country...and that's exactly who now has a good chance of winning the election.

lol they're now accepting motherjones as gospel because it agrees with their narrative? you literally cannot make this shit up
people keep saying this election exposed the racists, but it also exposed just the plain old weak-willed idiots who resort to groupthink to shield themselves from any #triggering they might fall victim to

Took my daughter trick or treating tonight-and my neighbor was handing out miniature bibles to kids instead of candy. I had to laugh. Halloween is one night of the year-can you have ONE night where too don't have to make everything about yourself?
