I wish I was interested in Bayonetta, but I'm just not.
I feel like you should give Bayonetta 2 a chance. I feel it is a more pleasing and welcoming refinement compared to the first one. It's more aesthetically pleasing and takes away a lot of the jank from the first one.

Found a limitation of sorts on the eShop last night.  I had Fire Emblem Warriors downloaded but got the physical version and decided to delete the digital copy to save some space.  When I tried to play the game, it told me that I needed to redownload the DLC.  The problem is that the eShop only lets me redownload the game and the DLC together and not the DLC by itself.  :lol

The Switch being the Vita but with the occasional S-tier Nintendo game would suit me just fine.

Dragon Quest Builders is p good. Retains the DQ charm while scratching the Minecrafty itch. I’m slightly annoyed that you don’t retain your town between chapters. Seems like a missed opportunity to build a real DQ city over a collection of convenient hovels.

Could see Chapter 1 / 2 be the initial hovel town building up to a castle that sits in the middle of a larger plot of land you expand into in Chapter 3 / 4 for the actual city.

That sucks. I don't remember any loading times from when I played the Steam version of it.

I picked up Axiom Verge since it's 30% off. It's alright. I like it better now that I have a handful of new toys. In the beginning it felt very simple.

Like Lager said, it's very impressive that it was all made by one person. But it got a bit overhyped, the core gameplay and level design are average. I liked the presentation enough to beat it but it's not one of the great Metroid-like games.

Loved the music and visuals too but overall the game was a bit confusing at times.
I couldn't quite figure out how and when the secret 'hackable' sections would appear.

Overall I had fun playing it when it came out on Wii U but my expectations were a tad higher.

Picked it up at that sale too.

Not really familiar with the Metroidvania genre. I only ever played the first Metroid Prime over a decade and more ago. And an indie title on Steam called Rex Rocket. That one I haven't finished, because it's quite difficult. But man, the music fucking rocked in that game :noah

Anyway, I like Axiom Verge so far, though I could see me getting bothered by too much backtracking. But for now it's engaging enough, because there's always new gear to try out and different localities to explore. And yeah, the music IS great! I don't think I'm too far into the game yet though (think I beat 3 enemy bosses so far).

Did he really do this all by himself? The ost too?

Is Slain worth getting? I like the metal vibe it has, but not too sure about the gameplay.

The Switch version of Slain was supposed to be pretty bad, dunno if they ever fixed it. The game itself is decent enough, though.

Get it on another platform like PS4, Vita, or PC- The Switch version has a shitty framerate.  They acknowledged this and released a patch, but it sadly did little to improve its problems.

It looks like a physical release is coming in a few months and maybe they'll do more to address the problems by then, but I'm not getting my hopes up.

The game's alright, more like Amnesia than a Resident Evil game (you walk/run through spooky environments and occasionally solve a puzzle; no combat). If it's $20 for the main game and dlc that's a fair price since it's around 3-5 hours long for the main game. I got it free through PS+ and enjoyed my time.

I can't imagine the Switch port performing well though since it's UE4 and the game ran like crap on the PS4 when it came out.

I've been playing Fire Emblem Warriors and I'm surprisingly liking it. Kind of my biggest problem with Warriors games is pretty petty, but the characters never look cool to me. Sine FE has good character designs I'm not as bothered. Game seems to run well in portable mode, which is the only way I've played it. The action is very fast and pretty fun.

Thinking about taking my switch on some 50 hours of flying (spread over a few flights). It's kinda big and bulky especially with the power adapter, and there's nothing cart-wise I really would want to play out right now, but I was thinking maybe there's some good indie stuff that would be nice time-wasters on flights.

What are the best indie games on switch these days (that also have good switch version)? I'm thinking about picking up Celeste and maybe a couple others. Night in the Woods?

Ok grabbed Night in the Woods, Zelda BotW Expansion Pass, Golf Story, Celeste. Already have Sonic Mania and RMX racing from when they came out.

I got like $20 left in my digital wallet. Battle Chef Brigade, Mummy Demastered, or Steamworld Dig 2?

Anyone played the Kirby demo yet?

I thought it was pretty awesome. The music in Kirby games is always better than it has any right to be. The friends mechanic seems to work pretty well and although no 60fps is a bit of a bummer Kirby looks great in HD.

Tried the first level on it.  Yup...it's a Kirby game.  Same kind of look and feel to the level as every other Kirby game and there's Wispy Woods for the umpteenth time as the boss.  But it has its charm and I like that you can get your CPU allies to power you up further, I.E. get a sword ability and then enhance it with flame or ice.

Nintendo releasing a Kirby game on a system that isn’t on its last leg is a nice change of pace. It seems like every traditional Kirby game comes out right before Nintendo stops making games for that console.

Yeah, can't really compare DQB #s like that. It was 2 years old by the time it got out to switch, I'd dare say a large chunk of those sales are people double dipping. I have the PS4 version but if DQB2 comes out on switch the same time as PS4 I'll buy the switch version.

Weird they wouldn't hold that for E3. Then again if it's the MK8 DX treatment I guess there's not much to get SUPER hype over.

Though personally I'm HYPER HYPE just to play it on the Switch. Hopefully with Ice Climbers and Snake back. :aah

If they are announcing fire emblem then it probsbly comes out this summer. I just nabbed the remakenon 3DS for Kik $17 last week at Walmart and haven’t started it yet.

This is the closest I think I have ever been to being able to subsist only on a Nintendo system in like 14 years
