Elon Musk: "I'm Trump's voice of reason."

Well well, look who saying exactly what I was suggesting just a couple of pages ago to liberals in regards to Musk and their useless hysteria. :smug

People are talking about the balls of Pena Nieto but is not so much about balls than Trump not leaving him with another option than not to play. Is political suicide for him and his party to do the meeting when Trump tries to insist about the wall BS in public at twitter, dunno if Trump understands how willing was the Mexico goverment in at least make a deal if he played the diplomacy game but he just make it impossible. Mexico has been bullied by US before but by people that actually understands how politics works here.

We are fucked economically, but there was no other way after that shitty twitter ultimatum. There is no benefit neither for Pena, his party and for Mexico in having a meetig with Trump when is clear he doesnt want to make a fair deal in any capacity.
guy has like 12% approval ratings doesn't he? You're right, there was literally no other move for him to make

trump isn't going to listen to musk unless it somehow strokes his ego

he doesn't care about america, only himself, his image, his popularity

wake up sheeples

I also covered that. If the idiots instead of creating an anti-Trump rally to bitch and moan about him, because that's what it was let's not kid ourselves, organized a seemingly (I said seemingly) non-partisan protest for a specific issue or two then it might have had an impact.

Instead we saw a protest being practically organized by Democrats with clowns like Madonna saying she wants to blow up the White House and general liberal pretentiousness and identity politics stupidity. If anything it made the situation worse, but whatever, as long as it makes liberals feel good about themselves it's a success, right?

That's just a different angle of Spencer getting wrekt the first time. You can see the exact same sign behind him and he's wearing the exact same outfit.

I'd be quite surprised if that White House leaks and rogue national parks twitter accounts for legit.

Also, prediction: at some point Mexico is going to contribute money to some joint venture, and Trump's allies will claim this is their payment for the wall.

edit: Sean Spicer said it would be paid for by a 20% tariff on imports from Mexico. I have no idea what that would take legally, or whether to put any stock in anything Spicer says at this point.

Most probably Trump advisors and the México government wanted to sell the wall as some sort of joint effort to fight the Narco or something, Trump kind alludes to that before his stupid Twitter ultimatum. I wonder if he understands that EPN has his own political problems to risk getting in the usual Mexican/US relations kool aid. Trump is exactly the stereotype of US business conman. We are fucked economic wise but that's is not news.

Abortion is the only women's rights issue in this country currently so I suggested that as the main one. Who? Everyone who wants to attend but for the love of God be wary of your organizers and speakers. That's protest 101 stuff.

This is kind of offtopic so you can read it or not: Aside from every other issue with organizers one unforeseen consequence of organizers with their own agendas is that they can hijack your movement for their own interests which given how much Democrats are involved I expect it to happen. So in the last few hours Trump told reporters that if Mexico doesn't agree to pay for the wall, there'll be a 20% tariff and then just recently the white house press secretary  Sean Spicer just walked it back saying it was just one idea............

Trump pressured Park Service to find proof for his claims about inauguration crowd

Quote
In a Saturday phone call, Trump personally ordered Reynolds to produce additional photographs of the previous day’s crowds on the Mall, according to three individuals who have knowledge of the conversation. The president believed that the photos might prove that the media had lied in reporting that attendance had been no better than average.

Making claims without having evidence to back it up beforehand, nothing new here. :idont

Keep in mind Musk has a lot riding on the way Trump and congress ultimately regulates(or deregulates) the economy. What he does in terms of foreign policy, and what industries he favors and how.

Just from a business sense this seems obvious.

Just got around to reading some of the stories where staffers said they are concerned about Trump's cable news addiction. He still gets up before 6am and it was inferred watches several hours of cable news before his day starts around 9am.

The guy isn't some evil genius manipulating the media. He is basically my Grandpa that watches Fox News all day and occasionally switches over to CNN or MSNBC to get a stronger kick of anger-induced dopamine.

In high school, I had a geometry teacher who was a male chauvinist and a white supremacist. He rotated quotes on the chalkboard such as, "90% of the world's inventions were created by white men." He always felt threatened whenever his world view was questioned.

Pretty sure he would have voted for Trump.

Uhh the president grabbing women by the pussy isn't a women's rights issue?

The complaint that they should organize around an issue instead of making it a broad anti-Trump thing is weird because that's exactly what they did by making it about Trump's treatment of women.

No, it's a dipshit boasting about being a dipshit issue. Human rights refer to something completely different. And again, if you're gonna protest just to bitch and moan about Trump at least be honest with yourselves and admit you're doing it to feel good about yourselves not to achieve something.

Sexual assault is an issue that affects women, tho, and the president being a raging misogynist is definitely something worthy of protest. And did you go to the protests? Because the one I went to had tons of people showing support for Planned Parenthood, along with people taking information to get others involved in supporting advocacy groups.

OK, let's assume that Trump did actually assault someone and wasn't just bragging, what's the goal here, what are you achieving, informing people that sexual assault is bad and that you don't like Trump? Great work guys, the country certainly hadn't realized that liberals don't like Trump. Whether you like it or not Americans voted for this idiot, now all you can achieve is to convince him to change his stance on certain issues.

Yeah...convincing Trump to not be a psycho through niceness and well connected tech billionaires (sounds a little neoliberal to  me) is a much more practical course of action than mobilizing opposition to him around the widely agreed upon notion that women should be treated with respect. You're quite the tactical genius.

Protests are never about niceness they're about putting pressure on politicians. The ultimate fail with these protests though is that instead of protesting about an issue you're just protesting Trump so naturally he won't give a fuck about your demands like any other politician would do.

You're mobilizing opposition? Haha, what does that even mean, it's just liberals protesting to whine because they lost, you're not acting any different than the mass conservative hysteria when Obama won in 2008, except, and I can't believe I'm saying this, they were calmer about it.

He raped women!

There's nothing more to it than that. I mean during the campaign he was far more disgusting to the female candidates, insulting their looks and so on, than he was to anyone else but that just reminded people that a 70 year old dog doesn't learn new tricks. Do you seriously think no woman woke up on November 9th and felt less respected by society than the day before because of him winning? The whole point of trying to protest against him specifically rather than every little cause is that he made people who are liberals into angry liberals.

Same reason China, Mexico, etc all act dismissive towards him, he's a poisonous fucking mouthpiece that no one wants to give an inch to. The rest of the world was cheering Obama's win 6 months before he won (yaddda yadda bigger crowd in Germany than Bush ever got).

Mobilizing opposition is getting people to join political organizations, take actions like calling their congressman and showing up to town halls, and generally become more politically active. So exactly what was happening at the rallies, along with the general expression of discontent which is the driving force behind every protest known to man (you think you're getting anyone to show up otherwise? What a joke).

you can tell the protesters are liberal elites by how fucking clever the signs are

it's a bit different from the regular "GET A BRAIN MORAN" signs

I know this is a joke but it's a good point. The Egyptian Revolution's signs and chants were simple things like "bread, freedom, justice" and variations of "go."

"Organize a massive nonpartisan protest for a single issue or two."

Aight. Which issue(s) and who are you drawing on to attend?

Abortion is the only women's rights issue in this country currently so I suggested that as the main one. Who? Everyone who wants to attend but for the love of God be wary of your organizers and speakers. That's protest 101 stuff.

This is kind of offtopic so you can read it or not: Aside from every other issue with organizers one unforeseen consequence of organizers with their own agendas is that they can hijack your movement for their own interests which given how much Democrats are involved I expect it to happen. So in the scenario that another corporate Democrat is elected all they have to do is pass a few identity politics legislation to pander and continue screwing the country unobstructed since the organizers would have practically dissolved these movements. What we need is organized groups independent from these assholes to be a constant reminder that they have to answer to the people not corporations.
