In general everything was going better in pretty much every part of the world.
The Syrian war was winding down, the economy was growing and unemployment was at record lows.

Sure we had problems, social issues, economic issues etc. but between 2016 - 2019 nothing at the scale we have in 2020.

Yes, it’s sad when a building’s life is cut tragically short in the service of justice. But if that particular institution had made better choices in its life, this never would have happened.

Ask yourself, what was that precinct doing in that neighborhood that late at night? Probably up to no good. The force used to detain it may be considered excessive by some but keep in mind, for all those protestors knew that building could have been armed.

I thought it was a bad interview and agree he clearly has a problem when anyone challenges him. But after watching the president of the United States threaten military intervention and the murder of black protesters in an American city...I say again, Biden was right. I have no issue with black conservatives, and black republicans. But if you're riding for Trump after last night? Nah.

BTW any discussion of the crime bill without contextualizing the era it was passed in aren't worth having. I lived in Detroit back then. The bill was supported by various black groups and politicians who were demanding a solution to high crime at the time. Spoiler alert: it didn't work, and ended up being pretty shitty. But the crime we have now vs the crime rate of the mid 90s are two different worlds and worth discussing when this topic is debated. Jack.

Thursday: Riots continue in Minneapolis, including police ceding one of their precincts which is burned to the ground, President Trump signs an executive order about social media companies because he was mad he got lightly fact checked, follows this up by tweeting a line directly from a white supremacist mayor from the Civil Rights era advocating the gunning down of American citizens. This is taken down by twitter for violating TOS, so the White House reposts it.
Friday: President Trump pulls out of any relationship with the WHO in the midst of a global pandemic in which his country has the most cases and most deaths in part due to him not taking it seriously for 3 months, protests/riots spread across the country including Washington DC, predator drones sent to Minneapolis, Randy Orton realizes Black Lives Matter, a reporter and camera man from CNN get arrested on live TV for no apparent reason but they happened to be black and the white reporters police were just speaking to were not arrested
