It's almost like the President is a very thin skinned man with an obsession for recognition that borders on the unhealthy. Too bad no one could have known that before the election!

Pretty much. The YPG and PKK are not really distinguishable, because the YPG was formed by PKK members in Syria and includes a hell of a lot of people born in Turkey or trained in Turkey. American socialist Brace Belden, who fought in Syria for several years against ISIS, suggests that he was transported and partially trained directly by the PKK, and not a YPG affiliate.

In 2015 the US created the Syrian Democratic Forces to be something like a shell corporation -- a way for the government to fund PKK affiliates without violating any of our promises to Turkey. While there are a lot of fully-Arab units in the SDF, coordination between these local units and the YPG (and possibly with hardened PKK veterans from Turkey) is very thick and the SDF makes an effort to introduce these groups to their libertarian socialist worldview.

By apparently acknowledging the inseparability of the YPG and PKK Trump is being unusually honest here, but only because he's trying to appease Turkish politicians who have genocidal ambitions toward Kurds.

rather than a 2016 primary debate the thread really fell into a George Zimmerman one? this is why Peter abandoned us for ResetEra to post under the username Phoenix Dark

spoiler (click to show/hide)
it's hard to make a decent argument that zimmerman feared for his life to the point of using deadly force in justified self defense and martin didn't

especially when you consider of the participants AND witnesses only one of them is alive to give their account, and in that account they've openly admitted to wanting to escalate a situation to the use of force

President Donald Trump could be on track to spend as much as triple the time former President Barack Obama did on the golf course in his first year in office -- and to play more than former President George W. Bush did in eight years in office.

Trump spent Saturday at his Trump International Golf Club in West Palm Beach, marking the 81st day that the President has visited one of his golf courses -- and his fourth straight day at a club. A law enforcement source said Trump played with golf legend Jack Nicklaus, a longtime supporter of the President.

It is unclear, however, whether Trump golfs each day he visits a course or how many rounds he plays when he does. White House aides rarely confirm that the President is golfing, but Trump did so himself on Friday, announcing that he was playing with golfing stars Tiger Woods and Dustin Johnson.

By comparison, Obama played 333 rounds of golf during his eight years in office and at this point in the first year of his term had played 26 rounds, according to Mark Knoller of CBS News, who keeps detailed statistics of presidencies.

Knoller told CNN that Bush played only 24 rounds of golf as President and stopped playing golf after October 13, 2003, after he was criticized for golfing while the nation was at war. At this point in his presidency, Bush had golfed seven times.

ROTFLMAO! I can't believe this article actually exists and is not some elaborate prank or April Fool's day joke. Could you get any more niche than an alt-right section of a furry fandom community? That's like looking for freaks within a group of freaks!

It might even make some sense if this was a brief mention or a two-paragraph piece on "hatred" within a community. But to treat it like a serious journalisitic enceavour with the amount of copy dedicated to it is just PLAIN INSANE. FakeNewsweak has officially lost its marbles!
Quote
Grant Fikes ·
Great hit piece, NewsWEAK. Now mention the equally deplorable commie furs who want to "shoot some fascists and use centrists as target practice". Or are you comsymps?

I hate #BothSides. I just want cute cartoon animals without hateful artwork of Deo punching Foxler and QuQu raping Deo.
Quote
Nerdbomber McTerror
Furries are a marginalized group that the democrats have ignored for decades. It was only a matter of time before they'd rally behind a movement that would give them a voice.
Quote
Cani Lupine · Fursuiter at Fursuiter
As a furry of 11 years, I'd like to see BOTH sides shunned from the fandom. This is getting absolutely ridiculous, and conventions are getting shut down because of BOTH sides.
The alt-right preaches hate, and the alt-left preaches violence. There is no room for either of those groups in the Furry fandom.
Quote
Brenda L. Burks-Finley · West Los Angeles Baptist
PLEASE ALSO NOTE: This is a small MINORITY of the furry community... most of these folks are just the average joe who enjoy this particular fandom. There are many more who are not "Alt-Right" or any other version of this partiuclar group.
Quote
Henry Joseph Thiel · Owner Operator at Furry Fuel Energy Drink
1) Furrydelphia isn't the city's first Furry convention
2) Deo never went to the cops
3) Incorrect name for Junius (Although this seems to be corrected)
4) RMFC was already having complaints about Raider behavior before Deo became involved.
Quote
Derek Marler · San Jose, California
These are a minority in a largely left leaning community. Even the more conservative members of the fandom do not endorse or approve of these rejects.
Quote
Matthew Parmentier · El Paso, Texas
The crazy thing is that furry communists don't understand irony just as much as altfurries don't either. In a left-wing world where the state dictates morality then people like furries would be killed off, just like homosexuals, etc, etc (just as we've seen repeated many, many times before throughout recent history).

To be honest, I don't see a problem with someone liking anthropomorphic artwork or literature. I don't mind reading a gripping sci-fi space opera where the two main characters are humans or furries. Why? Good artwork is good artwork, and a good story is a good story. It's an escape from reality, and that is good when you need it because sometimes reality sucks and it feels good to run off to a happy place and just relax. Where I do draw the line is when people try to retreat so far into this happy place that it becomes their reality. No, you are not a fox-dragon-wolf-sheep futa trapped in an human's body.

Don't be silly.

I also find it very sad that the supposedly best ideologies (Communisim and National Socialist White Supremacists) have to dig into the easily impressionable underbelly of the furry fandom to recruit....

"- Can't convince your middle class white friend that whites should rule the world?"

"- Can't convince a middle class black friend that white people are the cause of all of his problems and because of that he'll never be rich as long as the bougoise are around?"

"- Well then come on down to Billy WolfHorseDragonNob's Furry Emporium! We've got all of the young, impressionable people you'll need in order to bring about the second coming (lol) of the 3rd Reich or reboot Comrade Stalin and Mao's Glorious Proletariat Murder Machine! We can almost guarantee you that everyone who'll be here will be lacking self-confidence and have severe grounding issues. Sure, tey might believe that they're anything but human, but that doesn't matter when you can just toss their bodies in a pit when they've outlived their usefulness, right?"

"- So what are you waiting for!? You can't do Hilter proud while you're sitting on the side lines, and Chairman Mao will be rolling over in his grave if you don't start spreading the masterfully crafted propaganda of Communism! Come down and find yourself some weak minded people to brainwash today!"
newsWEAK SHOULDA THOUGHT OF THAT!

In this post-Weinstein moment, Democrats are pining for the karmic justice of defeating Trump with shards from a glass ceiling. Here’s how it could happen.
Weirdly the article seems to not even mention popular vote winner Hillary Clinton especially as an ideal candidate due to her unmatched record of qualifications in human history.

Quote
The unquenched desire to break the White House glass ceiling and diminished tolerance for misogynistic behavior complicates the 2020 presidential primary for any male candidate. Whereas in 2008, Obama’s condescending “you’re likable enough” remark to Clinton could contribute to the loss of a single state, this time around it could immediately kill a primary candidacy dead. A mishandled case of sexual harassment by a campaign aide wouldn’t become a post-election footnote, but a real-time calamity. And every man seeking the Oval Office will need to answer one straightforward question: Why should someone vote for you over a well-qualified woman?
I doubt any of this silliness will bother 2020 frontrunner Terry McAuliffe.

What's the backstory of Trump calling her Pocahontas?

There was some hay raised at one point where Warren talked about having Native American ancestry but then no one could actually verify it and she ended up saying that it was family story that had been passed down and she couldn't prove it was actually true. Virtually no one else has talked about this in years, but Trump gonna Trump.

What's the backstory of Trump calling her Pocahontas?

She said that she had Native American ancestry (many people from Oklahoma do) but other people have disputed it (because lol she looks white to me, where’s her braids and tommyhawk) and said that she just used that to get into Harvard.

Real talk I have Native American ancestry (that I. Can prove and look white) and my grandfather had obviously much more than me, and Tribal affiliation and more or less looked white. Further, my dad was in the military with a dude who was 100% African American that not only passed for White in a pinch, but was often asked why he checked the boxes for African American on everything when he was clearly white.

At which point he would point to family pictures in his wallet (when people still did such things) and show all of his clearly obviously black family members. I know the dude and he does look pretty white, so I don’t know if his mom liked to play in the snow or what.

I'm 1/4 Ottawa and on the tribal rolls. I'm a super pale white dude. My grandpa is full-blooded Ottawa and grew up on the reservation in Oklahoma before moving out to Washington state as a teenager. He looks Italian. [shrug]

A lot of white-seeming people from the southwest claim native heritage.

It's been used against Warren to show that she must have been an affirmative action case, cause anyone listed as non-white is presumed to have a huge advantage in academia. Which is obviously not the case but y'know.
