I considered it deeply, read all the opinions in the thread, and decided to go with "normalize."

I wanted to consider it within the scope of the year only. And it came late, and it was a reaction to it all and used as an explanation of it all and seemingly came about just this year. And it was utterly perfect.

I think it's because in the end your answer to things being yelling "this is not normal!" at events you can't control is pretty good encapsulation of exactly why events aren't "taking" the way you want. It probably helps that much of the year politically and culturally was spent voxsplaining just how "normal" things would be in the end.

Something I am guilty of as well. I helped to denormalize reality. Sorry for being a cuck in 2016, The Bore.
